Had high hopes when we walked in but the atmosphere was off. I’d be willing to try again at a weekend and to be honest, the food looks great. But we stopped off on a Thursday evening for one beer and the staff were polite but clearly didn’t want anyone there. We went downstairs to the pool area which stunk of BO and felt like an alternate universe to the classic pub interior upstairs. And they were playing incredibly loud rock music, thinking like bring me the horizon vibes. Fine for an indie or rock bar but super distracting if you’re just having an after-work drink at a pub.

Don't go here if you're on your own and not a regular. You will be given the cold shoulder and the food servers won't want to serve you. They'll look at you out of the corner of their eyes, pretend they haven't seen you, give other people their orders first even if they ordered after you, and then when told the order is for you, come to your table reluctantly and with no enthusiasm whatsoever like you're wasting their time. I had to walk out and leave my food when the server finally deigned to bring it over to me since she made it clear out of every pore she didn't want to come anywhere near me. I've no idea what I was supposed to have done to her. Maybe if I'd been with my partner (who's bed bound due to hip injuries and dementia and therefore always has to leave me to go out alone) I wouldn't have been given the brush-off.

This place has everything it needs to be a great little hangout bar. Wide selection of stuff on tap (IPAs, German fruit beers, ciders, sours, etc), decent food (had the tenders and the sauce was excellent), and great service. Downstairs there's a pool table, fusbal table and three arcade machines, including one light gun system. And it was just empty down there. Now, there were downsides. The male toilet was "typical London" - trashed and sodden. From my friends, the women's loo was lovely. And the loaded fries were just some expensive oven chips. But this place is good! Comfy seats, nice bar, plenty of stuff to do. You won't be upset meeting friends here for an evening or making it your local.

Not sure why there are so many good reviews. We visited on Sunday lunch time. Service is decent as it is empty. Food and drinks are really bad. Everything is burnt and tasteless.

Amazing Mexican food especially the nachos and flautas ! Very extensive beer selection, friendly and accommodating staff - especially the lovely blonde girl (who’s name escapes me!) and great atmosphere. True local pub, such a cozy place to pass the time, call me a regular from now on!

Really nice place, not overly busy but good atmosphere. Fab margaritas. Good Mexican food.

Neat little pub. The service was great and the food was tasty. I didn't expect mexican food, but it was quite good.

Wow an unexpected gem! Was looking for a pub with a good craft beer selection (which they def have) and a cosy space (also have) and so ended up here. Saw they had Mexican food before going but didn't really intend to get any (full disclosure, I'm an American expat and have been burned by disappointing Mexican food in the UK one too many times, so have a bit of a "fool me twice" complex). BUT we got hungry while enjoying all our beers and the atmosphere so decided to get the tacos, chips, salsa & guac, and wouldn't you know, it was some of the best we've ever had in London. Really well done, quality and authentic ingredients. Salsa in particular was the most legit one I have found here. Finished off with the churros (and cried tears of joy) aaaaand one last beer. ;) Planning to go back ASAP for burritos and nachos! Super nice, friendly staff that knows their beers, too. Will be back soon!
