   Poped into the Herne Tavern for a significant family birthday and it was spot on. The location is excellent and the garden is a lovely place to while away an afternoon. The pool room is a massive bonus and free on Monday’s I’m told?!? A special shout-out to Louis, who was an absolute legend. He made us feel incredibly welcome and looked after our gathering like a pro. If you’re looking for a proper pub with great staff, this is the one. We’ll definitely be back.

   I had my birthday at the Herne Tavern this weekend and it was amazing. Reserved us a lovely big table in one half of the pub. Reasonably priced drinks, lovely staff. And great atmosphere but able to have a chat without having to shout over the music

   Really happy The Herne reopened. We went for roast and most of it was spot on, and the portions were good. The sticky toffee pudding was great. However, the big disappointment is that there’s no gluten-free beer on tap… A couple of things could also be improved, like the pork belly skin wasn’t crispy but rubbery, and the sauce quantity on the very light side. One those are sorted, it’s an easy five stars spot!

   I loved the atmosphere of this pub. I was there last Sunday to try the Sunday roast. When I arrived, it was almost impossible to get a table as the place was packed, but the staff were very friendly and quickly found a spot for my wife and me. When we placed our food order, we were told it would take around 20 minutes because many tables were ordering at the same time. I went for the pork belly, and my wife chose the roast beef. We were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived much faster than expected , the portions were generous, and everything was absolutely delicious. I must also highlight the gravy and apple sauce, which was fantastic. I’ll definitely be going back with family and friends!

   The Herne Tavern in Peckham is seriously cool! Being the wedding DJs for Ella & Sam there, we had an amazing night. The staff were not just friendly, they were really, really helpful. From setting up our equipment to keeping the party going smoothly, they were on top of everything. If you're looking for a top-notch pub with great vibes and fantastic staff, The Herne Tavern is definitely the place to be!

   We went on a Tuesday evening and it was like stepping into a pub from a Bill Bryson book. There was even an Irish band rehearsing songs on the fiddle. We weren't able to sample the food as the kitchen was closed, and although you can order Yard Sale Pizza there the barmen let us go and grab some chips from the chippy up the road. Wish more pubs were that chilled. Highly recommend a visit, the garden outside looked amazing too and would be perfect for a drink in any weather as it's covered...

   Went in on New Years Eve. Not many in pub. Boom boom music! Not having a New Year party mood made us leave after 1 drink. They could have made more effort. Have been in here a few times in 2022 & staff (girl) very nice but NYE was a no no.

   Normally good but poor today. An hour wait for food! Chips were over cooked, fish was bland. Only roast available was chicken, which was ok! Presume this was a blip on the normal good food and service. Staff generally were as helpful as always.

   Lovely pub, one of the best in the area for sitting outside. Unfortunately the food is pretty dire. Poor offering, poor value and slow. Could be one of London's best pubs if the kitchen improved. The people who work here seem nice enough but they could do with more training.
