Lovely staff and location, but very disappointing food. Came for a Sunday Roast. Portion size was OK, but beef had no real flavour, and the gravy had a strange aftertaste which impacted the whole plate, roast potatoes were tough and hard to eat for one plate. Horseradish sauce was yellow, so suggested mustard had been added, but still had no heat or horseradish flavour - very odd. Was such a shame as had all the makings of a lovely meal.

We had our wedding reception here and we, and our guests were extremely impressed with the food and service from Vin and his team, 10/10. Incredible value for money for room hire and food. Vin and Maria accommodated our dietary and party requests very well and were flexible for us. The communication from the bookings team needs to be better.

All the food we ate here was really good! Especially the arancini and fishcake. It's typical pub food but there are also some more interesting options. We sat outside in the sun, not a pub garden but enough of a seating space to make the space enjoyable.

Staff and vibe are lovely, but oh man the vegan food is bad. I saw 2-3 options and thought “oh, that’s good, they know what they’re doing.” The burger arrived literally as a dry blob in a bun. Not a hint of even salad or sauce. The ‘steak’ looked like a chunky frozen job bought from Iceland for £1.20. I and the table beside me literally just described it as “sad, sorry looking food cooked with absolutely no love.” I felt like I’d been punished for ordering the vegan option. Please, please either cook it like you’re proud of your profession, or take it off the menu so we can get real food somewhere else. (Also thank you for being nice people, but please improve the food..)

Had little interaction with servers and had to flag down for drinks and to order food. Asked to remove the £15 service charge at the end, to be spoken to so rudely. The server asked us why we were removing it and once we had explained he said we don’t get paid much. Which I sympathise with having worked in hospitality for 6 years. But felt as if he was trying to guilt trip us into paying service charge even though he had not been our waiter all evening? He then told us he didn’t “give a s*** and just wanted to go home”. Amongst other things, I can say hands down the rudest server I have ever come across. We paid over £100 for a mediocre meal with extremely rude service. We spoke to the supervisor who explained to us he was new and it was an ongoing issue, but he also didn’t seem to care much about what we had to say. It’s a shame and we won’t be going back to eat there. Would love for a manager to action this as I have never been spoken to so rudely. My whole table left shocked and it ruined the whole evening.

Decent pub on Dulwich Road opposite Brockwell Lido. Two cask beers on handpump when I last visited. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered.

Do not book your event at this pub. My friends and I booked our Christmas social at the Prince Regent last December and experienced truly terrible customer service. The owner, Felix Pearce, is rude, unreasonable and appears not to value his customers at all. There are far better pubs nearby and I would recommend that you take your business there.

Nice place but it’s £7.20 for a pint and when the nice bar tender offered my dog a couple of treats his manager (dark short haired woman) told him off in front of me and said one treat per customer. Don’t tell your staff off in front of customers and don’t tell them off for giving away an extra 1p treat when you’re charging £7.20 a pint.

Great location, fast service and tasty beer. I loved it and it was not too full. Would come here again every time!
