   I had the pleasure of being served by Danielle at The Cyclist pub this afternoon, and she was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel genuinely welcome with her friendly smile and attentive service. Danielle struck the perfect balance between being helpful and giving us space to relax, and she anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask. Her warm personality, professionalism, and care truly elevated the whole experience. It’s rare to come across someone who makes their job look so effortless while creating such a positive atmosphere. Thanks to Danielle, our visit to The Cyclist was exceptional. She’s a real asset to the pub, and I’ll definitely be returning soon!

   We had an absolutely amazing meal at this pub! The roast was cooked to perfection, with a generous serving of meat, vegetables, and the most delicious roast potatoes—my personal favorite. We also indulged in a side of cauliflower cheese! For starters, we had the Korean fried chicken, goat cheese beetroot salad, and halloumi fries, and they did not disappoint. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. What truly made our experience outstanding, however, was the exceptional service provided by Ava. She was incredible—kind, attentive, and full of great recommendations. Ava checked in on us regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meal and had everything we needed. Her friendly demeanor and bit of banter added such a fun and welcoming touch to our visit. Highly recommend this pub for an amazing roast—and if you can, ask for Ava! She’s top-tier!

   The place is nice and the food was good. We had lamb to share and I have to say that it was very well done. But the cauliflower cheese that was with it never arrived, we had to ask for the yorkshire pudding (that was included, too) and we had the impression that the waiters attending our table didn't know much about the menu. They were very sweet but the service was very slow. The portion for the vegan option was actually very small, could be bigger.

   Sunday dinner here is exceptional. The veg/vegan option is tasty as rated by other members in the party. But if you like meat and have meat loving friends, the shared dish of the shoulder of lamb was divine. We had a doggy bag as we could not finish it. Lovely staff serving, great ambiance even though it was busy. Booking is a must.

   Really little bang for your buck for the Sunday roast. £19 for two mm thin slices of roast beef, more or less had to look for them on the plate. I said to the waitress and they brought us more which consisted of two more wafer thin slices of beef. Incredibly disappointing- won’t be going back.
