We recently had a lovely Christmas meal/Birthday celebration at The Edinboro castle. The food on the Christmas menu exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed every course (the pre-booking system was also easy to navigate and communication prior to our booking via email was excellent). The table decor was also a very nice touch. We were pleased with the service of the team who were all attentive, especially Kyle (maybe Karl? Sorry!). The team were also able to reserve another table for us, once our booking time was finished, which we were really grateful for in a packed pub. We really enjoyed the evening and would come back again.

The roast was okay. Beef was a bit on the drier side and it was busy enough that it took about 45 minutes to get the roast. The drinks selection is good

Exceptional experience as always. This is my favourite place and I always enjoy coming here, but tonight was truly outstanding thanks to one member of staff. I believe their name might be Mariel (not fully sure), short hair and glasses — they deserve all our appreciation. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care stood out not only on their own behalf but also as a reflection of their colleagues. Even when there was a small delay, they went out of their way to offer us drinks, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Exceptional service like this is the reason I’ll keep returning again and again.

Massive outdoor seating which was great in the sun! I recommend booking a table for a guaranteed spot. The bar was extremely busy making ordering drinks time consuming and the prices were slightly high. Overall a positive experience!

I don’t even know where to start. This entire experience was absolutely horrid. Walking in, you are provided with the wonderful sound of glass being smashed against one another. This continues about every 20 seconds, giving you a headache with the first 5 minutes of being seated. Moving on, their online menu is the slowest website known to man. Takes a good couple minutes to actually load, so plenty of time to listen to the glasses being smashed against one another. Once it does finally load, it takes another two minutes for anything you add to your order to actually register, so MORE time to listen to the glasses. On top of that there’s also no table numbers labeled anywhere so you have to go ask the staff what table you are to actually put in your order. After a good 20 minutes of waiting for the menu to load, and another 30 waiting for the frozen, overpriced, microwaved food, you receive your “king prawns”. They were about the size of my pinky curled up, probably even smaller to be honest. Oh and did I mention the meat pie still had the tin plate attached to it that comes out of the frozen box? Food portions were extremely small (and flavourless) for what they charge you and the atmosphere was all around horrible. The only reason to ever go to this place is to be disappointed (or get a headache).

The Edinboro Castle, 8.9/10 You want a beer garden in Camden, do you? Do you want the best beer garden in Camden? Do you? Are you sure? Well, look no further. You've found it. Just round the corner from Regents Park, you'll find what looks like a small blue pub. Hmm. I thought those northlondonpints lads said this was the best beer garden in Camden. Well hold on there. Never judge a pub by its front. Unless you're in South London. Then judge it on whatever you want. It'll still be terrible. Once you walk through the small tardis-like interior, you are teleported to an absolute Sahara Desert of a beer garden. The inside is like Tyrion Lannister, the outside is like The Mountain. Inside is like Jerry, outside is like Tom. Inside R2-D2, outside Chewbacca. You get it? It's a biggun. Despite it being a summery place, these lot still know how to handle a Guinness. Top tier. Premier League. Rolls Royce. Crème de la crème. Literally. Our waitress in here was having a tough go at it all. The garden was absolutely heaving, and she was trying to do multiple things at once. Respect to her. One of our orders did get a bit delayed. How come the ratings so high then, you ask? Well, she greeted us with a free round to make up for it. Heads up any other pub that wants a high score. There's a big hint as to how to get a good rating from us. Maybe without the waiting part. Reviewed 09/06/21 on @northlondonpints Instagram.

This is a great pub. It used to be our local many years ago and returning here it was good to see it was as welcoming and comfortable as ever. We didn't try any food on this occasion although it did look good. Bar staff were helpful and efficient, the cocktails went down well and it's good to see they've added a couple of non-intrusive TVs as well if you do want to catch up on the sport in the background. One of our favourite pubs in the area.

Nice ambiance at the outdoor bit but the food wasn’t great and too expensive for what you get. The sticky toffee was definitely not sticky toffee pudding…

Really nice pub with excellent outdoor space. Plenty of room for us on a Sunday evening even though we were walk ins. The food is very decent pub grub and not at extortionate prices for the area. There is still an option to order everything through the app which made things really easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good big beer garden and decent size inside. Can't go to the bar to order...table service like almost everywhere now. Have to order through a QR code on the menu. Pretty quick service mostly considering how busy it was but they had a load of staff on that day for the football. We didn't book a table but turned up early and managed to nab a booth. Decent selection of food and drink too.
