   We went there today to see rugby. It clearly says on the door that card/apple pay is accepted, and that cash is preferred. We just happened not to have cash. While waiting at the bar we were dismissed and told we won’t be served and whoever pays cash will be served first. Rude tone, dismissive attitude. We had to leave and are not motivated to come back. It’s a shame because we had good experience previously.

   Old boy (owner?) was a character. Vibe was decent for a Saturday afternoon with live sports and a welcoming atmosphere. Had a few drinks and would definitely go back if I was in the area

   What a beautiful pub! The interior is absolutely stunning, full of charm and character. We weren’t sure if they served food, but they do have proper Taytos, which was a nice touch. What we did have were a few pints of Guinness, and I have to say, it was some of the best I’ve had in London in quite a while, perfectly poured and delicious. This is a great spot with lots of history, the kind of place where you can easily wile away the hours. Will definitely be back

   Nothing special from the outside but plenty of character on the inside. Downside, minimum £10 spend on a card, only wanted to have couple, so had to buy crisps too. Nice pint of Doom bar all the same.

   Top class. Atmosphere is always great and like no other ‘local’ in the area. Even better on a Sunday if the team from Wine and Rind are providing the grub, not much better in this world than a pint of Guinness plus a Bacon and Scallop bap with a side of Oysters.
