This place offers a decent experience. The atmosphere is fine, can be busy after work. OK for a casual after work drink. Solid selection of drinks, including the usual beers, ales, and spirits. Staff are friendly and work fast. The pub food is hearty and comes in decent portions; reliable comfort food. Overall, this place is a decent choice.
I came here for a team lunch with work, I didn't really know what to expect but I was impressed with the pie and mash that I ordered. I'm not the biggest pie fan but clearly I haven't had a good quality pie. I ordered the Fungi Chicken which was delicious with gravy and mash. I'll be back here that's for sure, I'm already craving another pie.

Back in London after 10 years. And the first meal is a Guinness with pie and mash near the apartment. Can't say we're blown away, and British food usually don't, especially for picky eaters from Singapore. Nevertheless, still a competent pie, would prefer the crust/ pastry to be more buttery and crispy (maybe that's a Singaporean reference).
The pub was truly nice and spacious, loved the tables outside, such a nice place in hot day. The staff was kind, talkative, happy to help. I've loved the signs , pets are welcomed,even though, they had inside dog treats in jar. I found it as a wonderful gesture and a customer was upstairs with a puppy. That was a sweetheart , thank you for great atmosphere.

Great pub with a good selection of beers on tap. If you can grab the window table it is an amazing place to have a drink and watch the world go by around Smithfield and Farringdon. Can recommend the food here too. They have a good selection of Pieminster pies with sides, which make for a great lunch with a drink.
Stumbled across this pub quite by chance in Farringdon and was really glad we did! It's quite a small pub but had a really nice atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and it wasn't that busy for a Saturday evening. But best of all are the Pieminister pies! Only £9.50 for pie and mash which is excellent value for money. Good choice of beer too. Worth a visit if in the area.

Last week I went to the Hope for a couple of drinks after uni and absolutely loved it! The staff were so friendly, special shout out to Emma who was really friendly and chatty to us all. Will definitely be returning!
