Iβve been working in the area for a long time but never been here, recently came with my colleague and had the best time! Shay was serving us, was very friendly and attentive. Good outdoor space, great selection of beers, canβt ask for more.

Amazing pub with great service. They have a lot of beer brands on tap. I asked for recommendations and they got me try how they taste to select what I want. That's amazing approach.

Stumbled into the alley to this historic pub. Loads of people outside enjoying a pint, either draft or cask. Both are delicious. Staff is incredibly friendly, offering suggestions as what else to see as we arenβt from London. They also let us try just about every cask beer to figure out which one was for us. Great spot!

Vikki was an amazing host! The food was amazing would recommend trying the pies. The location is not hard to miss but it is in an alleyway. Nonetheless vibrant and draws a large patronage.

Patroned here 1st week of October. So, really, this place deseves 2 ratings: Food: 5/5 Atmosphere: 2/5 Obviously, during the week shortly after 5, you're going to run into the financial crowd. So we weren't expecting anything less than a bustling area. We found this place online and were curious as the food was well rated. The food was classic pub fare done right. Fresh and tasty. As most patrons were drinking, dinner around 6 didn't take long. Prices were decent for London. Around 45 for 2 people, entrees, and 1 round of drinks. So why wasn't there a second round, you ask? Apparently, the bar goers are far more important than diners. Seating was upstairs away from the spill out crowd of happy hour goers, but once seated, we were never checked on. We ordered at the bar for food as requested, but once food arrived, we weren't checked on to determine if everything was okay (had to go back downstairs when we needed something). Our solitary check-in consisted of being kicked out of our table and relocated to another table mid meal because they forgot they had a section reserved for a group and had not marked it. They allowed us to sit, be served our food, and then had us pick up our partiality eaten meals to move. Just bad form. And then nothing more than a half-hearted, sorry? Overall food was delicious, but the atmosphere is unwelcoming, I assume, until the financial crowd thins out.

Was able to take advantage of the new VIP Friday offer for groups and regular customers today. We often bring clients to the ship but today was even better, a reserved area, table service and fantastic offers on drinks (including their very well kept Doom Bar) with complimentary food. The sandwiches were excellent as ever. We thoroughly enjoyed it, as did our clients. A fantastic idea to get more people in on a Friday, when usually we would not be in town that day. As ever the staff were brilliant too.

Fantastic local pub. It is definitely a locals place with no tourists. My wife and I both had the fish and chips, they were great. The service was outstanding; make sure you ask for Charlie as your server. He was extremely friendly and very attentive. Definitely check this place out if youβre looking for an authentic British pub and meal experience.
