Beautiful pub, fantastic service and amazing food! Great selection of non-alcoholic drinks as well. Large projector showing live football! What else do you need?

Went there last night for the first time with a friend and one of the first things that stuck me was how nice the mood lighting was. That was followed by a warm greeting and great service from Magda and also from Martin. We arrived at about 8 and stayed right until close as we liked it so much We had a look around (I work in pubs so appreciate a nice vibe) and loved the decor and the back where people were watching the football and the beer garden. There was a cool looking food counter which we did not use but hope to next time. Bathrooms were clean and well lit too. Were served their house larger which was lovely. Met and made friends with another local so all round great community vibe and felt very satisfied after we left. We talked so much close was soon upon us (time flies when you’re having fun). Hope to go again when they are open later and try some food. Calm, great vibe, and lovely Pub. Thanks Magda and the team William The Fourth. Definitely going to go again. Alexi.

Popped in on a Monday for their Pint and Pizza deal which is only £10! Basically a bargain! The service was immaculate and the pizza was delicious especially when washed down with their House larger of choice! Definitely recommend it despite the negative reviews around the new policy regarding children in the Pub after 7pm. I don't like bullies and the reaction to the change was disappointing. The world needs more kindness, not judgement. You might not agree with the change of policy, but trying to destroy someone's livelihood that provide jobs in the community and opportunities to socialise locally isn't something that should be taken for granted. Please come down to support this local gem!

We’ve always loved the WTF, and it’s pretty much been our local since moving here 4yrs ago. However, what a breathe of fresh air it’s had recently with the renovation, and Exale brewery taking over!! A total triumph and such an exciting and welcomed addition to the area. This place brings something different to the other pubs I feel. It has a combination of great beers on tap (their pale rose is also gorgeous and such a bargain!) it’s super relaxed and welcoming to all types of people - young and old, family groups and lots of young people too. Staff are super friendly, lots of new faces and Short Road pizza is totally unbeatable! Love the weekly special offers too. What a cracking local boozer!! 5 stars all round xx

First time back here since (the brilliant) Exale brewery took it over. Safe to say they have done an amazing job. And proof of this being when I arrived it had been pouring it down for the past hour and the place was busy and had a lively atmosphere. Beers of course were top tier. I had the Pier Pressure as a 2/3 serving and it was beautiful. Just two staff on (it was a Wednesday) but they were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable on their products. I wish I got their names, it was a person with short dark hair and a beard and a person with long brown hair who had a horseshoe tattoo? Also, and this is so rare for majority of pubs in London (or anywhere) the sound system! Was so crisp and clear and the music was spot on for what this pub is. Will recommend to anyone and everyone who will listen (willingly and unwillingly) and will definitely be back again!

Great local pub. Feels like one of the few remaining proper east london pubs. It turns out we were there during karaoke night - fantastic, upbeat vibe. We’ll be returning…and hopefully it will be karaoke night again.

Great karaoke nights on Fridays. They have the best organisers and the crowd is joyful and respectful. Food is OK but I’ve seen better in other pubs

Great for a karaoke night! Nice service. We ordered burgers and wings. It can gets really busy and doesn't matter if you booked, is going to be busy anyway.

A great historical pub in Leyton. Wide ranging drinks options, sport and music to while away the evening and useful event space in the rear for family friendly parties.

Excellent community pub. Recently refurbished but not gentrified - attracting a diverse customer base, helping give it a rare atmosphere that feels welcoming and buzzy. The food you see in the image below was a Sunday roast meat ‘mix’ containing lamb, beef, chicken & sausage and was up there with the best pub roast I’ve had.
