Great little pub in among so many big pubs, nice to find a more traditional style place to have a pint. That said, you can get amazing Thai food AND they have a pizza shack out the back which does brilliant pizzas - with gluten free options.

My visit to The North Star was a thoroughly enjoyable experience that captured the essence of a classic London pub with a modern touch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with rustic interiors, cozy seating, and a lively buzz that made it perfect for both casual drinks and relaxed evenings with friends. The drinks selection was excellent. From well‑poured pints of local ales and lagers to a curated wine list and creative cocktails, there was something for every taste. The bar staff were knowledgeable and happy to recommend options, which added to the overall charm. The food was equally impressive. The pub classics – from fish & chips to hearty burgers – were well‑cooked, generous in portion, and full of flavor. Vegetarian and lighter options were also available, showing thoughtful variety. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuine. The staff created a welcoming environment, ensuring that guests felt comfortable and well looked after throughout the evening. What made the visit special was the combination of authentic pub atmosphere, quality food and drink, and genuine hospitality. It felt less like a simple night out and more like being part of a neighborhood tradition. Overall, The North Star is a must‑visit in London – a place where great drinks, hearty food, and a convivial atmosphere come together to create a memorable pub experience.

I remember this pub in the 80’s when it was a whole different ball game! Quite “cool” now but with a very relaxed feel to it while I have been here at least. Pizzas smell lovely but it’s the beer for me :) had a lovely pint of JHB and Cowcatcher, both were really well kept and very pleasant. Soft modern soulful vibes with the music which was nice in the beer garden.l and just at the right volume. Has now become our new meet since Whetherspoon gave up the George, a new every 6 weeks regular :)

Great pub, great atmosphere, great food! Already arranging another meet up with colleagues at this fine establishment. Oh, the oven stone baked pizzas were yum too...

A ‘proper’ backstreet boozer, tucked away in a thankfully un-gentrified area. A very traditional interior with good outdoor seating options, either at the front or in the large back yard. Great selection of well-kept ales; Timothy Taylor Boltmaker is a favourite of mine and was very good. Also serving freshly prepared pizzas and Thai food. I’m rarely in this part of London but will definitely return here next time.
