   NOTORIOUS AGGRESSIVE LANDLADY This pub has a pungent smell of throw up seeping through the carpet and even worse management. Judging by other reviews and the unprofessional responses from the establishment, I can see many other people have had issues with the same person and if you want a little giggle, please read the illiterate reply from said person on this and other bad experiences people have had. I especially like the gap in the reply too, unless it's been updated, it's almost like a real life pause they took to think of the rest of the reply. I booked this venue as part of a pub crawl and it was the most expensive to book in the area and provided the least. I was met by an angry older woman with big glasses. The pub clearly didn't have enough staff so I was met with the brunt of said landlady offloading her stress onto me, even when they had got our tables wrong. I wasn’t even able to plead my case with the woman as she wouldn’t let me talk and no matter who was right, I wish she had treated me with the same respect I was giving her. 3 tables of 4 is definitely not enough for a group of 20. It seems their lack of customer service skills are as good as their basic maths. The tables weren't even next to each other and for the expensive booking I put a deposit down for, it’s clear this venue is just winging it. The toilet looked like it had never been cleaned and the smell of B.O and throw up came through the carpet. The venue clearly doesn't know how to operate a pub with terrible customer service skills, severe understaffing issues when a local football club has just had a match (waiting over 25 minutes for a drink) and an even worse smell. Update: 1. There was no abuse in any of the emails I sent complaining about the issue. 2. It’s not hard to use the filter option to see negative reviews. No scrolling needed hun 3. I’m not gonna bore people with the details as we had both agreed on a time and how many were coming and I know I’m right 4. My point is more about your horrible attitude, which you’re proving me right on 5. I didn’t read past the interesting gap in your writing because who honestly has time to read all of that. 6. Maybe this is time better spent running your pub better 7. Please don’t email me anymore, I’ve had to block you so I won’t see it anyways

   Recently went and used to like this pub but it was ruined due to the landlady attacking my friend for no reason. He simply arrived on time for our booking and was met with shouting that there wasn't enough tables. Most of the group was happy to stand outside so I don't know where this attitude came from. Won't be going again with the current landlady there.

   Fantastic pizza at a very reasonable price for London, great selection of Beers. Fun, friendly crowd (was on a match day). Tuesday behind the bar had great banter. Will be back!

   A True Hidden Gem with Heart and Glitter! I first started coming here once a week for the drag shows, but I've been stopping in more often lately — not just for the shows (which are always top-notch!) but for the incredible sense of community. There's something really special about this place — everyone is welcome, everyone's celebrated, and it just feels like home.    Friendly local. Welcoming. Service a little slow but it's welcome because it's a Sunday night! In a residential area but you couldn't hear from outside which is fab. They had live music (drag) which was entertaining. The food was good, we had pizza, and would have liked it to be warmer so we could enjoy longer.

   A very warm welcome upon arrival both from the bar lady and the locals. The cask of Peckham Pale was in extraordinarily good condition. The beer poured with a bright collar of foam that hung around for the duration of my pint. Fair prices and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended

   So happy to call this pub my local. Reserved a table for Drag out the Weekend yesterday and had a brilliant evening. Entertainment was great, thanks to Electric Blue for getting us all up dancing, and thanks to the brilliant bar staff who were so friendly and accommodating even when it got crazily busy. Not sampled the food yet but will be back soon to try it out - the pizzas looked really good! Can’t wait to come back.

   We were lucky to be in the Northcote yesterday after the Orient game as they brought pizzas back to the menu! The kitchen has been doing some really nice loaded fries and hotdogs recently but we have missed the pizzas and these were amazing!! We had the vegan Mediterranean and our friends had the pepperoni and we were so impressed! Perfect base - crisp underneath with a good chewy sourdough edge, amazing tomato sauce and good quality toppings. Under a tenner too! Great real ales aswell currently with offerings from Burnt Mill and Beerblefish among others.
