Great room and staff were excellent. My only issue was the walking distance to the tube station but they do have a small car park.
Lovely spot for a Sunday afternoon. Staff fabulous, food excellent quality and great value. Shame about the man who parked outside and left his engine running for 20 mins chatting to his mates who sat in the pubs outdoor space, while his exhaust fumes stank up the place.
Chicken was dry and tasteless, despite advertised as marinated....Should have had a sauce or juice from it's preparation....The chips came in the same plastic container as the chicken....They were soggy, had a powdery texture and doubt they were homemade.... All-in-all, not a pleasant meal for £17 each...
The Lion and Key Pub in Leyton. Better described as a hotel with a bar serving a small collection of keg beers. Friendly, attentive staff and a clean well kept premises. Not the place for real ale drinkers as nothing on cask.

Nice food for breakfast after a single night in one of their rooms. Great location for visiting the Olympic park. Room was very good, although technical problem meant there was no hot water, but they offered free breakfast as compensation. Would stay again if in the area.
My parents stayed here recently and they couldn't have been happier, super friendly staff both in the hotel and the bar / restaurant, and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. They even provided some treats for my sister's dog. The food is your typical pub offering but executed with care. And they have an extensive breakfast menu ranging from a Full English to a the East London staple – the Turkish Menemen, the latter of which I can vouch for.
