    Nicely busy but with space available on a Tuesday night, The Hermits Cave is a pub in Camberwell I would go to again. It was mostly good, decent range of pints available and fairly reasonable prices.

    Soundtrack of conversation is electric. Only 10 metres from my favourite book shop - LaLa books. Great coffee and drinks! Can spend a whole evening there too! The IPAs are storming. Needs more vegan options though.

    Atmospheric pub let down by poor attitude to beer. It's supposedly a CAMRA pub, but never ever has any ales on. There's also seemingly a revolving door of staff, which prevents it from becoming a proper local's pub. Such a shame and a missed opportunity - with a little love and attention it could be the top-tier boozer that Camberwell is missing. EDIT: Happy to report that at least the availability of cask beer has much improved since this review

    Popped in for a pint while waiting for take away. Great selection of beers. Well kept cask ale selection. I had a Farm Session Blonde. Would recommend for a quiet drink or two!

    Good pub, always liked the vibe and nice bar staff. Unfortunately tonight there was a lot of open begging permitted inside the pub. Living in camberwell I fully appreciate what it’s like, but when you’re sitting down to a pint it’s hard to forget about the world outside when you’re asked for something every 15mins.

    Not a bad little pub friendly atmosphere. Card only purchases no cash. We were having a late Sunday night drink with friends. Prices are reasonable, roughly fiver a pint on average.
