Recently refurbished, but, arguably, it's a massive downgrade. It PREVIOUSLY had a great selection of beers, including a wide range of craft on tap. But, NOW, it has gone back in time. Why on earth have the management chosen to limit the selection to 4--5 beers, with focus on "trash" brands like Fosters, Carling, Thatchers, Amstel. Sad times, and suspect this will be the end of the pub.

What a transformation! I love what theyβve done with this pub β definitely the best spot on Church Street now. The old-school carpet adds so much character, and itβs amazing to see Murphyβs on tap too. I will be back!

To Tom, Petya & team Thank you SOOOOO much for the most amazing wedding reception venue, food & service! You were all so INCREDIBLE throughout! Tom you were brilliant from the moment we booked. Fantastic communication and you made us feel so welcome whenever we popped in and so at ease if we had any questions. Your team were FABULOUS on the day too. There is such a great atmosphere at the Red Lion & we are so happy we had our perfect wedding reception there. All our guests loved it too. They loved the layout of the pub & were so impressed by the pizza & sides. It was all so delicious! Thank you, thank you thank you We will in for pizza soon of course! We love you all Sam & Stephen xx

Beautiful pub in a historical building. We had my daughter's 5 year old birthday in their upstairs room and they couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful! The room is a great size for lots of little kids running around and there is a nice space for parents to have a drink.

Had our wedding party upstairs at the Red Lion and cannot recommend it enough - great drinks, great pizzas and, most importantly, staff incredibly attentive, accommodating and friendly. We had loads of non-English speakers but that was not a problem for them; everyone left happy! Truly the best vibe! Thank you Harry and the team!

This is a nice pub nestled in the heart of Stoke Newington. Great beer selection, tiny rebel, beavertown, plenty of others I havenβt heard of a great offering of Pale Ales, Craft Beers and lagers, even a good selection of ciders. Probably wasnβt the best time to check for atmosphere as itβs 3pm on a Friday waiting to go to a wedding near by. I fancied a Tropica - Tiny Rebel, and it was delicious. Prices were reasonable to, Β£13 for a beer and a dry rose. Not bad for London.

Lovely pub to watch the footy outdoors. Didn't eat, but the pizzas looked very good and there was a wide range of pizza options on the menu. Dog friendly pub, offering bowls of water out too. Only critique is that there isn't loads of cover, so if you're not great in direct sunlight, might be wise to ask for a booking in the shade.
