After 48 years I returned here for lunch only to find it was ‘Thai Night’ and they weren’t doing lunch! The decor has changed a great deal from the cosy, smoke filled spit ‘n’ sawdust, reeking of pee and spilt beer from days of yore. A far cry from my teenage years getting a pint and sitting on the bank outside of a summer’s eve! That said, Kelly the bar stewardess was upbeat, friendly and poured a good’un. Timothy Taylor “Landlord”. Two regulars I got talking too were great company too and much reminiscing was done! Still has a vibe just not the one I remember (vaguely).

Had lovely lunch, service was quick and prompt, staffs were friendly, price was decent, environment and vibe was nice. Would visit again for sure.

Nice looking pub, not sure I’ve seen such a limited menu though and no Sunday roast. Pints are expensive and food is decent but typical of a pub.

Had lunch here, unfortunately they don't do a Sunday roast anymore and only do pizzas and burgers. The fries were surprisingly good, burger wad okay

First time back to the Ramblers Rest in 42 years. Did not order food, but the beer was great. Hope to return sooner than 42 years.

Very nice experience here. Came for a private party and would definitely come here again. Food was delicious. Ladies toilets well looked after, had pads available. This is something I wish every place did, it is such an thoughtful gesture and deeply appreciated. Will definitely be back!

We had a Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed. The food was excellent, plenty of veg and well cooked. The girls on service were polite and attentive, and a lovely touch was the chef coming out to ask if we'd enjoyed. All in all, a great Sunday afternoon out. Thank you!

Lovely little pub in the heart of Chislehurst. We went for a roast last Sunday and it was delicious, really good quality food with fresh ingredients and a fair price. Definitely be back again this weekend for our roast fix! I recommend the apple & rhubarb crumble too, that was very tasty! Lastly, it was a nice touch that the head chef came out and spoke to us and other tables to ask if everything was good with the food, you could tell it was a lovely place to eat and the staff were very welcoming.

What have they done? Football blaring out of TVs everywhere you look. Interior redesign seemingly done by an IKEA intern. Probably the worst pub I have ever been in. Definitely so in terms of the promise of the exterior and location, versus the massive disappointment of the soul-sappingly awful, awful interior. So much bad taste. There should be laws against this sort of desecration. No rambler will be resting here anymore.
