Extremely rude female staff behind the bar. Don’t come here unless you want to be verbally abused for just ordering drinks. They’re clearly living off the fame of Iron Maiden, as their service is so poor

Very well managed pub with music venue in the basement, memorabilia and merch available for Iron Maiden fans. Sound is clear and not distorted, drink prices are reasonable and glasses collected regularly, toilets very well kept. About 10 minutes walk from Stratford station (zone 2)

What makes it great? Well Iron Maiden Obviously. But it’s welcoming to everyone, whether metal head or looking different. Food is definitely value for money and they have a good range of drinks. Give it a go. No means a regular but it’s the heart of Maryland and people love it. Also good entertainment.

The pub is amazing. Less than a 10 minute walk from Stratford. It is like a trip down to memory lane. It is the pub that Iron Maiden had their first ever gig. Atmosphere great. Food delicious and very reasonably priced. Memorabilia available to buy. If you are in the area don't miss it

The location was being refurbished on the exterior, so not very pleasant and covered with scaffolding. Interior is well kept and full of Iron Maiden memorabilia worth seeing. The basement is clean, well ventilated and has a bar, sound was very good for a small gig. The manager is very friendly and responsive, sorry to say the bar staff on the day werw not...I would recommend it for events and for Iron Maiden fans.

A great pub, great for live bands downstairs, good selection of drinks, good jukebox, and a bit of Iron Maiden history. A stone's throw from the nearest railway station (Maryland, or it's only a 10 minute walk to Stratford). What's not to like?

We love this pub and we are so glad that it is our local!! The staff are AMAZING and the atmosphere is awesome! This is why we chose to have our wedding reception here! Everything was perfect and I couldn't of wished for more! Thank you so much for everything you did for us!! Rock and roll forever!

A decent sized pub that's been around for years now recently got a big make over that still keeps to the pub vibe, staff are friendly and drinks are spot on, a good food menu that goes well with there bottles of trooper ale, also has a basement venue area for up and coming bands/tribute bands.
