I didn’t have food, but the service and friendliness of the staff were a credit to the owners. A good old English pub. Well done to all who help run such a welcoming establishment.

Visited The Cottage Loaf Pub for a game of Pool with friends and had an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, making it an ideal spot for a casual hangout. The pub facilitated a few hours of fun without any hitches. Highly recommended for those looking to have a good time in Loughton!

Been there a few times. Great atmosphere and lovely owners. Lovely beer garden that gives you an β€œold school” pub feeling. Dart board, pool table, betting machines and sweets and snacks. If only the staff would smile.

Nice and chill, not very loud, wide selection of beverages and food. Sometimes they have live music. Definitely recommend this place.

Great beer garden during the summer , handy for a quick half whilst waiting to pick up your child from school .

Totally bizarre place saturated with wannabe gangsters and caked-in-yellow women. Word to the wise: A local pub for local people only. Visited with a few friends and EVERYONE in the pub turned and stared at us as we walked in. People proceeded to stare us down as we ordered and consumed our drinks... almost as if they'd never seen people drink before. We felt like a tourist attraction. Think of the experience as a cross between Close Encounters and An American Werewolf in London. Enter at your own peril.
