   We found this pub on google and visited last night. (Friday eve). The place had a lovely cozy atmosphere. We had a lovely drink. We decided to order food. We ordered crispy cauliflower, crispy squid, chicken tenders, vegan fish and chips. It was burnt and tastless. The cauliflower came in huge chunks, it was grey and dollaped on a red clumpy sauce. The chicken skin had been burnt, I had to scrap it off. The squid chewy. The vegan fish and chips was a massive clump of tofu, again over cooked batter. We felt the food was awful. The worst we have eaten in ages. I wish we had taken pictures. Looking at the pictures of the roast dinners below look amazing. We did not experience that. We are surprised the food has 2 contrasting reviews from the same place. We would return for drinks but will never eat there again. We are disappointed.

   Great, cozy pub with a real fireplace and amazing food. We came for a sunday roast dinner after this place was recommended to us. We arrived at a very busy time so had to wait a little bit for a table but we found one relatively quickly. Lots of good drinks on tap, very quick service at the bar. The roast dinner was absolutely delicious, we got massive portions especially for the price and food was served very quickly. The cauliflower cheese we got as a side was super rich and creamy, definitely recommend!

   Favorite pub in the area !!! Also dangerous for my wallet, as I have been here almost every single night since discovering it. Great food. Super friendly and fun bar staff. Live music first Tuesday of the month. Fun pub quiz on Wednesdays. And - best part - the fireplace, which is SO cozy and my favorite part of the pub !!! Love it here, will absolutely be back !!!

   Newest favourite Sunday roast spot! The roasts here are enormous, beautifully cooked and well presented. The staff are sweet, friendly, and quick, and all next to a roaring open fire, perfect cosy Sunday on a freezing day! My favorite touch to the menu is that you can order a half portion of roast (for half the price) if you're not as hungry, and if you can't decide what roast you fancy you can also choose to mix (for the full portion only) There is additional seating at the back of the pub, a small seating area outside and also a games room downstairs. The pub is nestled between Broadway Market and Columbia Road, and there are even free dog biscuits for your pup, too. 10/10

   When I arrived I was a bit disappointed to learn that the vegan fish and chips was off the menu, so I decided to have the pie and mash....... Wow!! Possibly the best pie and mash I've eaten in a pub EVER! THE Mash, veg and even the gravy 10 out of ten and the chicken pie was the best ever. The chef really knows his food. Thank you , and great service too.

   Lovely decor! It feels to dive back into centuries ago. Lovely traditional pub. A little bit of a wait for our Sunday roast. Worth the wait,overall good quality except my sirloin steak. Will go back
