Exceptional Wedding Venue! Worth every penny. Our guests were blown away by the venue - it’s like having your own private magical forest for the weekend. The staff were great and really open to allowing us to use the space how we wanted. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We didn't stay in a hotel, went camping. The site is very good for families. Not huge , but big enough to not be overly cramped . There's a stream which is so good fir the kids. With there being 1 entrance/ exit which helps, there a pub on site which cool. Only downside is the ablution tbh. Not bad enough to deter me, particularly 1 shower. In all honesty I woul go again such a nice place , very chilled and relaxing. If you've never been definitely go ! The owner is a lovely lady too

Nice site. Filthy loos, not cleaned during our two night stay(i have phototraphs so please don't try to tell me they were!!!) No staff presence, i had to call and then message their website to sort out the lack of hot water in the showers. Once sorted the shower(gents only had hot water) was really good, well after I had cleaned it enough to stand in it. No hot water or electricity in the pot wash shed, which rendered the fridges unusable. Lots of stuff piled up behind the big teepee. My opinion is camping is an after thought as they will make more money doing their weddings. I didn't try to get the hot watwr and electricity sorted as i had read some reviews and the responses are quitw rude, i didn't want to speak to a rude person. Sadly we wont be back as the facilities really let the place down.

Highly recommend the site, improvements should and would include regular toilet cleaning (I know this is down to shitty guests and unattended children) but still they were grim every couple of hours should do it. Better electrics, it did trip around 9pm and wasn't resolved until 9am the following day. Have a number someone can call 24,7 we tried the numbers available several times to no answer. Despite this the site is absolutely stunning with a park etc for children and friendly staff. It inspired me to write (see photo) have a read it may give you an idea of what to expect.

We used this venue for our wedding and it was amazing. The venue was just what we wanted and some of our guests said it was the most fun wedding they had ever been too. The venue gave us so many options as to what we could do with the space, from axe throwing to inflatables, To ziplining across the river and getting drenched. (got some great photos of our guests doing that). If you can book it i would definitely recommend this venue especially if you want to do a big wedding.

We honestly could not have chosen a more perfect and fitting venue for our wedding day! The grounds are beautiful and absolutely idyllic! The day ran so smoothly with the help of Sue and Sophie and we can't thank them enough for all of the hard work they put in to setting our wedding up! After a few suppliers either cancelled or messed up royally in the few days before the wedding, the venue and everyone there made the day so perfect and we couldn't have had a better day if we tried!

We've camped here before as a couple and it was unbelievable. But our wedding was immeasurable. The Old Vicarage really went above and beyond for our special day. There is nowhere else we would have chosen. The day was so special and uncountable amounts of guests all said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. There is no justice in pictures or videos etc. We gave them quite the challenge with many things going on throughout the whole day. Pinatas, duck racing, obstacle courses, you name it! We had just under 200 guests. They allowed us ample time to set up our vast amount of decorations and allowed us the time to pack away too. You really become part of the whole family at the Old Vicarage. What a beautiful venue and such a special place for anyone to have their special day. We have nothing but great memories and are eternally grateful for Sue and the teams efforts.

Nice to have fire pits but not when people are burning wet logs way to Smokey especially when have asthma. Dogs on leads at all times! Owners little dog going around wanting to hump everything in sight and bites when trying to get it to go away, partner has a dog allergy! Booked in January for a family gathering, owner was sooooooo rude saying cant have the tents there, yet was shown where to put the tents in what area. Supposedly more people coming the next day. Nobody did so she was blooming rude as though all our fault no room. Area also known to have a rave had 1 night of it until 5am so would not advise a bank holiday weekend. Toilets cleaned regularly. Shower not suitable for children or for washing your hair as it gets scolding hot whenever anyone uses the loo or washes hands. Stream very nice for the kiddies and alike. Area nice but wanting to keep all grass green for weddings, but it’s a campsite ?? Great to have family together but won’t be returning here.
