   Popped in for a quick pint on a hot summers day after work with some colleagues before getting the train. As the station is just a couple of minutes away it was the perfect little detour on a Friday afternoon. I was impressed with the selection on tap, and settled on getting myself a Pravha, the service was quick and efficient too! Inside there is a reasonable amount of seating, but due to the hot weather we sat in the garden area, which was a lot larger than I had expected! Definitely somewhere I will return to for a cheeky pint after work on a Friday

   The Halfway House in Sevenoaks is a good pub in every sense of the word. It offers a nice selection of beers, with the Guinness standing out as particularly good—poured to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks in no small part to the lovely girls behind the bar, who are both friendly and attentive. For sports fans, the pub has football on, adding to the lively vibe, and there’s even a dartboard for those who fancy a game. It’s a spot that combines traditional charm with a relaxed, unpretentious setting. If you’re after a classic pub experience, this is the place to go.

   The Halfway House is truly a remarkable venue. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Recently, they introduced a delightful tapas menu, and we had the chance to sample their chicken tenders and sweet potato fries—both were outstanding. The pub boasts a well-curated selection of beers, and their wine list is particularly impressive. They have a great outdoor seating area and also show live sports on a number of screens in and out. Overall, it's a great pub with a lot to offer, making it well worth a visit.

   Came in for a catch up with friends one evening recently. I was absolutely appalled by a member of staff that was claiming he was the manager, believe his name was James. He was throwing his weight around, rude to the staff working and also rude and very foul mouthed towards customers, certainly something you wouldn’t expect from a manager. We came in for food and a drink, but after seeing some food come out of the kitchen looking like it had been reheated and thrown together scruffily and overhearing a rowdy bunch at the bar saying the food was so overpriced that they’d be ordering a deliveroo to the pub, we decided to cut our losses and leave. We certainly won’t be coming back unfortunately as much as I want to support local, as the atmosphere created by this so called manager was actually sickening. Such a shame that what has been a lovely friendly pub in the past has turned into something so chaotic and crass.

   On a trip down from Scotland, my family and I stopped by for a pint and some fodder. Safe to say that we had a fantastic spread of food, some lovely cold pints and the bar manager James was a legend. Attended to our every need. Lovely atmosphere, good food, great staff and just a stones throw from the train station and high street.
