   This is a gem that we stumbled on after a hike at Knole Park! Food was the chicken roast well cooked with incredible portions. The drinks were poured by deft hands. Barry and Mina are exceptional and they have built a beautiful communal space where art is on tap and everyone is polite. Will be visiting again if we are ever in the area!

   Visited for my aunt's retirement party, as this was her local watering hole since 1980. A small and traditional pub but with lots of charm. I had a longman beer, an imperial ale and a few pints of Madri. Price was very reasonable, and the staff very friendly and sociable. They even made a cup of tea when my fiance wanted one which is not something I've had on a Saturday evening!

   Proper old fashioned,family run, pub.Loved it.My first visit, came for a quick drink. Staff were very friendly and helpful, Barry and Meg. Good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Cosy atmosphere. Really liked the photographs on the walls advertising local businesses, real sense of community. Definitely worth a visit and would make sure to go again if I'm back Sevenoaks way.

   This pub has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. The staff were so nice and kind, always checking in to ensure we were having a nice time. The food was by the far the most incredible no thrills meal. The roasts and pies were superb. Big servings for under £10 each. Highly recommend

   There is a reason the locals very much use this pub. You won't find prices as low as this for home cooked food. On our visit on a Friday lunchtime, we were amazed how good the pies were with seasonal vegetables. I would definitely return. We visited two other pubs in the High Street. One only had sandwiches, the other just over priced burgers in a brioche bun.

   Don't live here but clearly after a few mights of drinking this is the best pub in town for ale with 3 good beers. Landlady and locals friendly and good music.

   The only 'Proper Pub' in the area. Great beer, lovely, home cooked food and a fabulous, friendly atmosphere. A bit like stepping back in time to happy days!

   What is fantastic place. Never been to this town, let alone this pub, but it's amazing. Both the staff and the regulars were cheery and chatty. The barmaid is such a wonderfully lively person- whoever pays her wage should pay her more! Not overly salubrious, but it just doesn't matter. The Guinness was excellent as was the Butcombe Original.
