I am 21 and I showed the bouncer my id and he was happy, same with the bar staff. I was helping a mate who was in the live band, and at the end of the night once they took my money for drinks the manager came up to me and said me and my girlfriend was barred. We sat in a booth the entire night and enjoyed the music. The managers excuse was “it must be a fake id, u don’t look old enough” She also refused to look at my id as she was convinced it was fake. They might want to reconsider there management.

Service was good, all the staff were lovely. However I was served the worst roast dinner of my life. Every single ingredient from frozen and nothing was cooked properly. Potatoes were cold and rock hard in the middle. Meat was cold. All the veg was undercooked and tasteless. Decent enough pub if you want a few drinks or to watch football, absolutely terrible food.

My family and I had a lovely lunch in The Fatling, and I also discovered that they have a great lost and found section! I had left my umbrella there, completely forgot about it, but was still able to retrieve it from The Fatling a couple of weeks later. Such helpful and friendly staff!!

Very conveniently situated right in the middle of Hornchurch High Street. Very pleasant inside, very welcoming and the music system is not too intrusive. Nice. Would recommend the steak & ale pie with either chips or side salad. Very pleasant and helpful staff. I would say that Hornchurch town is blessed to have this traditional pub right on its doorstep and right next to Sainsburys. ROD UK.

Was served a flat pint of Strongbow, so decided, maybe it was a bad pint and get another pint to even it out, but it was the same...flat! So my missus bought a BOTTLE of Magners to liven up my flat pint, and the manager was trying to charge the extra because it was a bottle.....but no refund on the flat pint, we won't be going back. Good food, shame about the acting manager being clueless.

Busy pub. Nice selection of drinks and seating. Outdoor bar area and seating. No parking at the pub you will need to park locally or in one of the car parks if visiting. Access for everyone. Friendly staff. Plenty of TVs for live sport. I didn't spend long there but what

Nice pub, but frustrating rules if with a child. Only pop in once every other week for half an hour with daughter whilst son is at coding - whether we stay depends on random rules - sometimes we must be out by 6, sometimes we must order a packet of crisps to count as food, sometimes we must have food and sit outside, which at this time of year is more or less telling us we aren't welcome.

A pub I am ALWAYS overcharged double in and has never changed. My drinks for 2 are always £12 and in yesterday's football game I was charged £24. I think this is shocking and I'm always watching the card machine before paying, everyone NEEDS to do the same. Normally I'm charged £12 for my £5 drink and no manager in there seems bothered.
