What a turnaround from the old and tired previous Burnley bowl. Excellent music, lighting is fun and energetic. The bowling alleys have been upgraded, as has the comfortable seating and the tables are rustic and solid on lane. Now the balls are stored under the table too. The food was amazing, pizza’s were thin, crispy with fresh ingredients, all the food we saw coming out was an improvement. The new bar/recep on entrance was much smarter, better stocked with over drinks and actually had staff working on them. The arcade games had working lights and the machines seem new. 2 pool tables available now. Also they have a cool KARAOKE PRIVATE room to hire. All in it is a much better offering. It was £40 for our family of 2 adults & 2 kids to play a game of bowling and a round of golf.

Visited Discoball Burnley with my auntie and my 11 year-old cousin first weekend of December. I can see why people enjoy the renovation, the neon lighting looks great and the concept itself is fun. That said, there were some things that really took away from the experience for us. The main concern was health and safety. There was visible scaffolding and wooden planks in areas open to customers and the arcade had electrical wires hanging from the hole in the ceiling, which didn’t feel appropriate in the venue, especially with children around. The food was fine but nothing special and our drinks were flat. The bowling equipment also felt quite dated. The ball return machines are from the older AMF era so must be at least 25 years old. We were rushed off the alley by the next customers within a minute of our game ending and we hadn’t quite finished our food and drinks which was a bit strange. It felt like the venue may have opened before everything was fully finished and ready for the public. I’ve taken photos of some of the unfinished areas, as hopefully this is something that can be improved quickly. With a few changes, particularly around safety, this could be a really good spot, but at the moment it didn’t quite live up to expectations for the price we paid (£55 between three people with one game, one drink and a bit of food to share).

We brought 3 teenagers for the golf and bowling combo. We had a good time, but the revamp is not quite there yet. The new bar, golf and new seating on the bowling alley look great, but there was a huge part of the ceiling missing with wires hanging down, the arcade games need upgrading (the air hockey doesn’t count the score for one player!) and the actual bowling alleys have seen better days. It does feel a bit like a construction site with rolls of carpet and sheets of MDF piled up. That said, we still had a nice time, and the cost was ok (£54 for the 5 of us).

Price was great did the combo but unfortunately looks like a construction site on enter. Staff were friendly and helpful. The table service was quick and easy to use. The golf was ok but alot of holes i found too much and would of been alot hard for younger one.

family visit 07/1/2023 we enjoyed the games but the venue is a total wreak the balls all have grove smashed out of the the lane have not been oiled in 20 years the approaches are wreaked rubbish all over the place the beer is rubbish dont think the lines have been cleaned a massive pile of used carpet thrown at the end last time i visited was 15 years ago when it was nice its not now and we will not be coming back the £8.50 a game would be fair if the lanes where good but they are not and when we asked for the bumpers to be put down we got there all up as there broken the arcade part same again broken machines a few give out tickets which would not be so bad if there was anything to be bought with them spend some money fixing the place up

We booked online in advance, paying £30 for an hour of bowling. After 30 minutes of playing, the game ended without warning and the lane shut down. When we asked staff, they claimed we had turned up early (untrue) and reluctantly agreed that we could finish the game. This would've taken 10-15 minutes, still not giving us the hour of bowling we had paid for. They had sent the next group to our lane who were impatiently waiting in our space and making it difficult to complete the game whilst also dealing with 2 hungry toddlers who we intended to feed during the hour. The staff member advised us to 'just finish the game and eat afterwards', completely missing the point. We were not offered the opportunity to complete the hour of bowling we had paid for or for the waiting family to be moved elsewhere. We will not be visiting again.

This was a great venue to visit, where me and my friends felt welcomed upon walking in across the smooth, patterned carpet! The counter is very large and had been kept clean, where the staff were patient in allowing our session to start late when I explained to them that one of the group would be late and the seating is comfy. A cheap offer of £30 for a 1-hour bowling session of 6 people was cashed in on by us and also while waiting, I used the toilets that had cleanliness maintained. The bowling itself was fun on strobe-lit lanes, backed by a scoreboard above in an old school style and a speaker played music that really added to the atmosphere! Seating has an interesting shape and is separated properly for different lanes, similarly to how the bowls are in curved storage areas and the wall has interesting shapes for its design.

I've been here 4 or 5 times and it is a slightly weathered location but the staff are friendly and helpful, and if there are any issues with the lanes they have always been dealt with fairly.
