The venue is decent, darts is good. But the main point of the place (Bowling) is absolutely awful. The lane must be covered in glue with how slow the balls roll and the pins seem like they are made of lead. Don't recommend for a decent game of Bowling but the arcade and darts are good.
I visited this bowling alley for the first time, and honestly, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I was literally just drinking my coffee and waiting for my game when the manager suddenly came up to me with an attitude. I was absolutely stunned by what he said - so stunned I actually asked him to repeat himself because I genuinely thought I’d misheard. But no, he said the exact same thing again, just as disrespectful - “get out or put that in the bin”. And it wasn’t just directed at me. He spoke to another group, also people of colour, like myself, with the same disgusting tone. Meanwhile, a white family right behind us were happily eating their Greggs food and enjoying their drinks, and he walked right past them without saying a single word. Not even a glance. Then the brunette female staff member behind the tills pipes in with, “You need to get rid of them drinks, my manager’s already told you.” Sorry but you really need to sort yourselves out as it is clearly not the first time the staff members are bullying people of colour. You work at Tenpin, not running a global corporation. Is the manager your dad or something? Because the entitlement and attitude were through the roof. The behaviour and RACISM were awful, the way we were spoken to was unacceptable, and the double standards? Absolutely blatant. In 2025, too. And the best part? Right next to her was a big “Zero Tolerance” sign about bullying and intimidation. The hypocrisy would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic. Instead of replying to every bad review with the same robotic “Email us if you’d like to discuss this further,” maybe actually address your staff’s behaviour. Train them. Hold them accountable. Stop hiding behind copy-and-paste responses while your team treats customers like absolute rubbish.
Decent priced ten pin bowling. Staff were helpful in getting us booked on, and to a lane quickly. Was quiet mid/early afternoon on a Sunday, busier but not cramped on a Saturday evening. Had no issues with lane and would recommend. Some first-come-first-serve pool tables, and various arcade games available.
The place is nice to go but the young girl who was behind the till for the bowling booking with blonde hair was incredibly rude to the point where me and my friends didn’t even wanna play the bowling game anymore. She had a major attitude as soon as we walked over to book for a game she was incredibly unfriendly and unwelcoming and when my friend went to pay cash instead of card and she had the audacity to role her eyes was the last straw and we left. Sort your staff out
Had fun here.. We had a game of bowling and went to the arcade part after.. Enjoyed an ice cold cider aswell in the upgraded food area since we last went.. It is better set out.. Bigger.. More accomadating anduch cleaner than before.. Nice
Always a good laugh when the boys come down to bowl. Not really a fan of 'Lane 21'. The bowling ball just bobbles around too much, probably because people legit bounce the ball of the floor which are creating dents on the flooring. Other than it's a great place to be. They also have a small arcade where you can play all sorts of games.
Not enough bowling balls in a bowling centre??? Pretty poor. We struggled to get sufficient balls and ended up sharing one particular ball between our group and the adjoining lane. We asked staff, who did look for another ball that was a suitable size (a size 10 with medium finger holes, so nothing unusual) and they explained that there is currently an issue with the number of balls available. Second annoying thing is that you can not put up side bumpers for individual players - they are either up for everyone, or down for everyone. Customer service wasn't great. The staff were friendly enough, but no one came when we pressed our 'service call' button to order drinks, despite the fact that 4 members of staff were available and standing talking to each other. Drinks/usedglasses from previous players had not been cleared away from our table when we went to play and remained there the whole 2 games we played. Toilets were not very clean. Positive points: The lighting over the bowling lanes is funky and fun. We enjoyed playing on the arcade games after bowling. We wouldn't return here. It is a few pounds cheaper than Hollywood Bowl on Kirkstall, but still works out more expensive when you pay for parking (which is free at Hollywood bowl). Unfortunately it is much lower standard venue and experience than Hollywood Bowl.
Me and my friend had a phenomenal time at this bowling venue, where we were checked in quickly at the grand reception! The lighting is a strong accompaniment to the lanes, the numbers look epic and bowls are nicely styled, also names can be added easily on the electronic board. We enjoyed a game of pool too, priced cheaply at only £1!
Amazing venue for an team sport and entertainment when really bored worth spending some time as students as well as family
We spent a fantastic time in the bowling alley. However, there are different games available. There are student and group discounts available especially for specific days and also comes with meals and drinks. It's a great hangout place.
