What can I say about The Moat, well what a wonderful place it is. Me and my partner got married here on the 1st of December in a wedding that was organised in 10 days due to family illness and from start to finish it was more than perfect. Aimie our wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing she certainly knows her stuff. All my guest absolutely raved about Aimie and all the other staff. Nothing was too much of an ask and they made everyone welcome. Everything at The Moat is amazing right down to the little details. Laura the chef made the most amazing food and even the fussy guests ate the food and said how delicious it was. Our two sons absolutely adored Aimie she was so good with them and made them feel very special. The rooms at The Moat are stunning and we had a fab night sleep. If you're considering a wedding at The Moat don't hesitate it's beautiful and you'll have an amazing time. Thank you again to Aimie and all the staff for making our day truly magical x

I photographed a wedding here last month. What a cosy and beautiful venue. The staff were amazing, huge thank you to Aimee the wedding co-ordinator as they were so helpful and kind. Aimee was able to accommodate group photos by making space for us in the barn, as it was unfortunately raining. Really hope to photograph here again!

Stopped by in the off chance for Sunday lunch, and we weren’t disappointed. Lucky to get a table as it was super busy (a good sign) and the food was absolutely delicious, real home cooked not bought in. We had roast beef, chicken and pork. Biggest Yorkshire puddings we’ve ever seen. Really tender meat and delicious gravy. Only criticism is a bigger portion of veg would be better (we asked for more and they brought some). Dessert was delicious too, crumble, ice drama sundae and biscoff doughnuts for our table. Highly recommended, will come back again for sure. Oh and all the staff were super friendly too.

As a wedding celebrant I get to lead ceremonies in a wide variety of venues, but this was the first time I had worked at The Moat at Wrotham. It is well situated with excellent transport links and plenty of parking. The six bedrooms are beautiful and there was plenty of room for the bridal party to get ready. The ceremony room is absolutely stunning and the open fire and candles made it a magical place for a twilight wedding. The tap room is more contemporary, with a slightly industrial vibe - very cool (and the toilets are especially nicely decorated!). What really set the venue apart were the staff - all incredibly helpful and efficient - especially the manager Aimie. My couple were absolutely delighted with their special day and I would definitely recommend The Moat to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

I’ve been coming here over the years whenever I’ve visited England. They added a whole lot more seating in the back garden including a couple of gazebos that you can book. Food was delicious. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They even have blankets that you can borrow when it gets chilly.

Stopped here as we were driving past and looked nice. Lovely place with a big and spacious garden however that was it. Found service to be rather poor and slow considering they weren't very busy. Ordered some snacks and my wife specifically asked for no onion with her egg sandwich and even though the waitress wrote it down there was still a lot on the plate. Also definitely wouldn't say the bread was fresh so she ended up leaving half of it. The waitress went past a number of times to serve other tables but made no attempt to come to ours. Eventually when someone did come my wife mentioned she was happy and the person said they'd pass it on. Must say they were very apologetic when we left and didn't charge us for my wife's sandwich. Unfortunately this experience has put us off so won't be going back or recommending this place

After severely underestimating the quality of the menu. I'm happy to say our group of ladies had a delicious meal here tonight. Friendly helpful staff in a warm social atmosphere. A good night all round. I personally had the Calamari main and Lemon Cheesecake dessert. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time we've visited since the new ownership. We weren't disappointed! The new look interior has breathed life back into the building whilst retaining its character and charm. The service was excellent - friendly and helpful. And the food? Oh wow! Absolutely gorgeous! Such a different and varied selection too. I would urge any foodie to go sample The Moat's offerings!
