What a gem!! Found out about the Hue & Cry concert, which took place last evening, only a few days ago and decided that the venue wasn't too far to attend. Parking in the closest car parks was challenging - partly due to the commercial vehicles which I assume involved employees staying at the nearby hotel - but we found a spot. The venue itself is quaint but in no way old-fashioned or tired. Spotlessly clean and plenty of staff on hand to help. The auditorium has a perfect layout for smaller, intimate events and I guess it seats around 200 people. The show was brilliant and certainly an ideal venue for acts that don't fill sports grounds or arenas! Loos were clean and the bar area comfortable without stinging you with high prices. You really felt that the owners wanted you to feel right at home and it worked. We're now watching for future opportunities to visit the Lamproom again!

What an absolute gem of a theatre. Small and intimate with comfortable seats and great sound. Friendly staff and parking just outside, free after 5pm. Went to see Whole Lotta Shakin’ and had a wonderful evening. Definitely recommend and will return.

I attended Lamproom Theatre on Tuesday 28/02/23 to see "Waiting for God.". It was a wonderful production, well executed by all the cast.

Another great show love this small theatre. Really like the miners lamps in the recesses for lighting. Only small fault, it gets very warm, maybe some air conditioning would help.

A lovely little theatre which we've visited many times. Plenty of parking spaces nearby and close to various restaurants and bars (although the bar in the theatre itself is great value and friendly). The theatre staff are very helpful and friendly, and a lot of the amateur productions that we've seen there (particularly the L.S./Lee Semley Theatre Productions) have been extremely good, with fantastic and very talented performers. All the seats have good views, and the productions are great value for money!

Lovely, small and intimate venue. Great prices unlike some theatres, drinks etc not overpriced. Enjoyed the visit! My photos show the view from seat A2 in the front row - so close you could almost touch the cast. Great showing of 'The Little Mermaid' and we all had a great time

The venue is brilliant, comfortable seating, great lighting, brilliant acoustics, love it. It's the first time I've been since the bar has changed, love that too. John Reilly and Lewis Nitikman singing Billy Joel and Elton John were fantastic on the evening too.
