   As an Aussie with a hire car displaying dashboard tyre alerts, and recent snow and black ice around, and more to come, I was so appreciative of their expertise. Josh, from their team was friendly, helpful and professional. My tyres were filled to the correct pressure and the car computer reset. I was good to go: for highway and country driving Thanks Halfords!

   I visited Halfords Autocenter for tire replacement. I arrived at agreed time and was served quickly. The tires were replaced promptly. Unfortunately not everything went smoothly. When I received the car back it was dirty. The rims were covered in white paste and dark palm prints were on bodywork. When I raised this up with staff, I was told politely that they will not do anything with it as they do not have a car wash. Additionally, the staff was trying to sell me the wheel alignment service that I did not need. The wheels alignment was within manufacturers parameters and was checked by Toyota service a month earlier.

   I have been taking my car to this branch for years. I have always been pleased with the service and advise. However, yesterday was a very different story. Car was booked in for MOT and rear coil change. They didn’t seem to be aware of the coil change then said ‘oh yes oh yes we’ve got it’. I left the car there at 8am and knew they would have it all day. At 13.14pm I was called to say the car had passed the MOT and was ready to be collected. I asked about the coils and she said they were unable to get the coils (they’d had 2 weeks to order them) but that the manager was ordering them ‘manually’ and they can do the repairs on Monday. Why didn’t they just say at 8 o’clock in the morning that they had messed up? Were they trying all day to try to get the parts delivered and I would be none the wiser? I was so hacked off I told them to keep the car as it is not possible for me to get it there on Monday. That’s why I always have everything done on a Saturday because I work! Honestly I just feel really let down by a service I have been using for years. I’ll see how it goes on Monday before I decide if I will be using them again.

   The service provided by Josh and Rodrigo was absolutely outstanding. They went out of their way to repair my daughter's car to a really high standard, at the last minute and for a good price. Thank you so much. Would definitely recommend!

   Took my car in for a free brake check. Didn't hear back all day they did they called but I had no missed calls and wouldn't leave my car all day when needed. I was told both discs and pads needed changing I was told they were fully ground down. I didn't tell them that it was only last year I had a full new set of brakes I decided to go with my gut and get 2nd opinion. I went and got another 2 opinions from 2 different garages. I was informed that my repair wasn't so urgent and that it was just new pads I would need. Halfords also put my wheels back on so tight and they rounded a bolt. Won't ever use these again as they clearly like to take advantage of women

   National tyres and halfords are one it seems... National tyres allowed me to book, but drop off only.. And then they didn't have a spare ramp... Why let me book?? Halfords booked me into Sutton garage for a morning slot... Wasn't done until the following morning and I had to do all the ringing to see when the car was ready! alignment not great either but I don't like the idea of saying so and having to wait for a day or so for it to be seen too.. Halfords.. Stop allowing us to book a slot if they can't get the work done in a timely manner...I got the impression that the staff aren't happy and neither are the customers having to wait....

   Had a major service + MOT. Friendly and professional staff. Condition of car in their report very easy to understand. No hard pressure sales for recommendations on additional work which will become necessary soon. Was given free window screen wipers + fitting as a loyal customer. On this visit no issues. Would recommend this particular garage
