    I went for an MOT (Motor Test) and was told I needed to replace the car's control arms because they were defective. I agreed because I care about safety. Shortly afterward, I took a trip to Italy, burned both front tires, and nearly went off the road because they hadn't done the alignment. The car was significantly out of alignment, and I had to replace the tires again. I consider this very serious, considering it's a matter of the car's alignment. They put my safety and that of my family at risk. I wonder how anyone could be so careless. As far as I'm concerned, they should close the garage and open a pizzeria.

    They lied! I took my VW Passat in for an MOT and they called to say it had failed for steering wishbone and brakes. Obviously I asked them to fix the problems and get it through the MOT. When I collected the car they didn’t offer the fail certificate but I demanded it: the brakes (cost around £1000) were not a fail, just a recommendation. Avoid, or be prepared to be lied to…

    Can’t say enough good things about this establishment. We used to live just around the corner, but now we’ve moved out of London we still come all the way in to get all our cars seen to here. One of those rare places these days where you find friendly, honest and most of all, trustworthy people, which is so important where cars are concerned given the huge potential for expensive repairs. Amazingly they are extremely competitive on price, frequently quoting less for repairs than other well known places I’ve approached in the north east of England, where everything is usually far cheaper than London. I’m very glad I have a place where I know my car is going to be in good hands, and that I’m not going to be overcharged.

    Underwhelming experience. Called in for an MOT, they recommended doing various additional jobs (as per VW's standard recommendations) and identified 2 critical (high ticket) issues to be solved before passing the MOT which I accepted, but they actually did no carry out the MOT. I only realised afterwards and had to call back and leave the car again. Not particularly quick, not particularly caring or client friendly: for that type of customer care, I'd rather go to cheaper options. I wouldn't recommend it.

    Been with them a while, because they are within easy walking distance. Have had the odd uncertainty, so not previously reviewed. Bit pricey, of course, but to be expected as costs are high round here. This is the first time I've had them collect; however, the car has been standing and the battery is flat. Apparently they do not provide offsite starting so I have to use the AA, which seems like the customer service equivalent of sending your apprentice to stores to fetch a "long weight".

    Had a recall on our Golf so chose Monaco, simply on location. Most impressed with the level of service: helpful office staff and a car spotlessly cleaned inside and out which I thought was way above and beyond for what must have been a tiny job. Thank you Monaco.

    Good communication and always send me a reminder for the MOT. Prices are on the high side but work is done well and very quickly. Always wrap up the work inside a day whenever I have needed it. I always keep a £1 coin in the ashtray for the supermarket trolley and this was taken... so points off for that... It's not about the coin of course it's about the trust !
