   My experience with this car service centre was unsatisfactory. When it comes to trades people, it is important to be able to trust them since they have the knowledge, skills and expertise. This service centre provided an MOT for my car and amongst two other points, it failed due to 'rear fog lamp not working...' I was given a quote to carry out all the repairs. Luckily, my partner is a mechanical engineer and was able to carry out all the work himself. However, he could not find any issues with the rear fog lamp. He took it to a Halfords shop for them to change the lamp if needed but they concurred that it was fine. I took the car to be retested; it passed. When I picked up the car from the service centre, I asked for an explanation for this error. None could be provided. I am left with the conclusion that repairs are invented in order to extort money from customers. I will not use this service centre again in the future since how can I be sure that any faults are genuine?! It is a shame since it is a reasonable walking distance from my house. The Halfords Service Centre at Sumner Road has provided excellent customer service in the past but it is further away. I will use them in future and just make sure I arrange a lift instead.

   I have had several emails telling me my car is booked in for a service, my car has been serviced, and the service report and payment details. The worrying thing is I have not booked a service and I don’t even own the car in question. I phoned the head office and explained to a lady who said she would amend their records, but true to form these days nothing changed.

   The rudest shortest member of staff i have ever come across. Other brances i have visited fior work last 3 years exceptional and really sell the brand..i will not use this centre ever again. I had full service and had call witjin hour quoting £1200 of extra work advised. Had to top up my screenwash within hour as not done. No confidence in schedule being fulfilled in my opinion. When.picked vehicle up i was offered no engagement or explanation on works done. Poor experience overall. No reflection on. The brand as a whole just this branch.

   I booked a timed slot for while you wait service to have new tyres fitted and wheels aligned. Appointments are a sham to lure you to book and pay. You just had to wait in queue with others for expected 2 hours. I have to go back at 8am tomorrow. They shouldn’t offer timed slots if they can’t honour them - it’s dishonest.

   Really good service. Had MOT and a service done on my car signed up to the Halfords club you get great benefits and money off worth the fee, worth looking into it.

   Came in after my GLE failed its MOT at Mercedes and was advised I needed two new tyres. Halfords Croydon were brilliant & honest one tyre needed doing, the other did not. Took back to Mercedes for its MOT, advised the above from halfords and it passed surprisingly! They saved me a fair bit of money so thank you!

   It was first time I've used Halfords Autocentre Croydon and like all first timers you get worried. I had taken my Volvo v40 for MOT& Service. After 3 hours my MOT & service was completed. Not only was i pleased with the turn round time in completion. But the friendly and welcoming staff felt like I've known the garage for years. In addition, I was offered money off which was a real bonus. Big thank you to Ben, Paul & Billy. I will be back and hope to see you guys soon in my next Mot & Service schedule.

   Took my car for diagnosis. Dropping off the car was easier. But staff were bit hit or miss. They diagnosed but took more than day and couple of follow up calls to send the report. Report was extremely simple just to mention what's the error code. I wish they mention what's the repair needed and also quote how much does it cost.
