   First visit to Cain & Grain last night. Initial impressions were good — it’s a decent little venue in a nice part of town. I enjoyed the Hells lager on tap, and the burger definitely lived up to expectations (5★). The fries were fine, fairly average, but the jalapeño cornbread muffins were a disappointment — too sweet for my taste and far too dry. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. The main downside was the lack of shelter outside and the limited indoor seating. This left customers scrambling for tables, many of which were already reserved. It would really help if the chalkboards displayed what time each table was reserved from, to save the confusion.

   Wonderful ambience and great experience on a Friday night. Amazing, fast and efficient service. Tried some good cocktails. Recommendations: Shaun of the Dead : 10/10( if you need something boozy and strong) Coco club : 8/10 ( if you are a person who loves something light then it’s 10/10, a tropical cocktail i would say) Zombie : 10/10 ( My favourite wherever i go)

   The beef rib is amazing - 9/10, Dr Pepper glaze is absolutely delicious. If you're big into tender meat, don't mess with the spare - just get 3 x beef, you won't regret it. Service is always great and vibe is on point

   Appalling service and staff do not know the basics. Ordered the beef rib and a burger. The waiter came back 10 minutes later to say the rib would be 30 minutes, and they didn't have the burger. Reordered the beef fries, and they said they didn't have them. Know your stuff. Immediately say when people order what food you haven't so people don't waste time ordering twice. Clearly, there is no communication from the kitchen to the staff Sat waiting 35 minutes still no food. No updates, no apologies, no nothing. And never once asked if we wanted another drink. If you provide table service, wait the tables, and serve customers. When the food arrived (burger, padron peppers, and chill fries), the burger bun was burnt and zero chilli on the fries. I feel that if I had not asked for an update on the order, I'd be waiting until Tuesday. Paid, not offered a receipt and they never asked how the food was. Maybe they know the food matches the service. Appalling.

   Awesome, friendly staff. Ridiculous choice of beers on tap (see photos) plus spirits, burgers, flaming cocktails and anything else you could want. Chilled, mixed crowd. Skateboard mural. Neon signs. Secret door. 10/10 would drink there again :)
