   What a lovely place. Sunday Lunch was fantastic. Freshly cooked and plentiful. The beef was cooked to perfection! Staff polite, professional and friendly. The bill was as expected which I considered reasonable for what we had. Will definitely return.

   First time coming here since they changed to venue, very lovely inside, and a warm welcome! We ordered chicken ham and leek pie and a steak burger. The portions were big and the food was absolutely delicious. Hard to find chips that beat them. Great price too. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend.

   Since they've moved it's gone through a huge change. We booked a table of 9 through the phone, upon arrival it turns out their book (a physical book, not even a web interface or app) didn't have us written in. It was very fortunate that they had a table for 9 available. The interior design is very nice, and the food was delicious. But the service was absolutely shocking, this is definitely not due to the staff who were working as they were superb even when rushed more than they could handle. The issue lies with the lack of staff. We got there at 18:20, ordered around 18:45, our starters arrived about an hour later. But we didn't see our main course until 20:30. We ended up having to order the desserts to go, and they ended up pretty bad, small portion size and dry. The older establishment seemed to be much larger, and didn't have these issues. What happened to the old staff?

   Really lovely food, plenty of choice for everyone and quick, friendly service. It was quite busy which is a great sign but meant the little car park was quite full but managed to get a space. Nice garden outside too which will be great for summer. Will be returning to try more of the great menu (can definitely recommend the beef stroganoff)!

   We had our daughter’s birthday dinner. There were 11 of us. We ordered drinks at the bar. My husband was happy to see Guinness and order it. He said, “the bar man poured my Guinness too quickly and in one go.” Starters came promptly and there was a bit of long wait for main dishes, but it’s definitely worth waiting for. The portions were really generous. All the dishes we ordered were so tasty. The staff were all nice and helpful. Very happy to go back there again and I highly recommend it.
