Food was average pub grub. Portions are small and we were hungry again an hour after eating. Plenty of parking but spaces are tight and disabled spaces were all taken by non disabled people. Ordered bread and butter with the scampi and had to ask for it after the food was brought. When it came it was 2 end crusts. Now we like end crusts but not at Β£1.49 for 2. The place was full of contractors who were staying in the rooms behind the pub. Talk about loud and obnoxious. Not a lot the pub can do about that but it must be a regular thing so if you like peace and quiet while you eat - forget it. The carlsberg had a funny taste, like as if the lines weren't flushed properly after cleaning and the John smiths had a nice head but tasted of absolutely nothing. Worst pint of smiths I've had for a long time. Not somewhere we would ever go back to I'm afraid. Disappointing.

Very consistent with past visits. Two mouthwatering plentiful Mixed Grills prepared by Chef Ryan. Good wine and very tasty whisky Liquor to round of Chilled atmosphere and our table was looked after by Caitlyn. Very pleasant and helpful. The manager Emma was profesional had a great approach and wonderful attitude to customers. She was keen to ask about our experience and for any thoughts if things could be done even better. She is a credit to the company and to a well run establishment. Looking forward to a return in the near future. Well done to Emma and the staff mentioned

Last minute booking to stay the night. I wanted good pub food, comfortable bedroom and great service whilst being able to watch the football. This is what I got. Jordan behind the bar offered great service, Emma and Beth served me my food and Keira checked me into the hotel and constantly was checking i was happy and asking if she could help. Excellent service throughout. Greene King have a great team here.

It's a very nice pub and the staff are also lovely. Loads of parking ans plenty of tables to go round so I can imagine it'd pretty easy to get a table even at the busiest of times. I had the xl mixed grill and my wife the full rack of ribs. There was nothing wrong with them just a slight lack in flavour. We would definitely go back though.

Stayed over to watch Tom Jones at haydock race course,, stayed in a double room no.22, very quiet! Beautiful room, lovely, very clean and modern. Staff were amazing! The guy who checked us in was very welcoming, polite and a credit to your establishment. He work tirelessly to make sure our stay was great! Nothing was too much for them. Breakfast was filling and nice, lunch and dinner wide choices and very tasty! We will definitely be coming back. 10/10!

Some of the decor could do with a refurb, but the food is good and the staff are very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon - 28.01.23

We eat here tonight, a busy Friday, we got a table in the dog friendly section with our pup. All of the bar and serving staff were friendly, helpful and generally fantastic. Food was lovely and we didn't wait long despite it being busy.

Absolutely shocking. No information what are operating hours, app ordering doesn't work. Lady behind the bar was waiting until 9pm to come over to say that kitchen is now closed while we were still exploring the menu. Don't bother yourself if you look for a late-dine place.

First visit to this pub as I look for dog friendly pubs. The area where you can sit with your pet is rather tired looking and cramped with your pet having to sit very close to your feet which was a little uncomfortable compared with the rest of the pub which is really quite nice. The staff however were lovely, very friendly and professional. The food was very nice, arrived soon after ordering and was hot and tasty. We had chicken burgers with fries and cheesy garlic bread as it was Thursday it was buy one get one free on the burgers.... winner! I am not sure if i would visit again but only because I felt like the dog friendly area was like third class compared to the rest of the place.
