We were hosted by Nicola, who was fantastic - helped us massively with our very particular requests and showed us three good examples of sofas, the last which we ended up buying. In terms of pre purchase customer care - I cannot praise her enough!

I recently visited the DFS store in Birstall and had a very disappointing experience. I found a sofa I genuinely liked and began a finance application, but the process quickly became frustrating. I clearly explained that I didnβt want delivery because I have my own van and live only about five miles away. Despite this, the sales adviser repeatedly insisted that I had to pay a Β£129 delivery fee or I wouldnβt be able to complete the purchase. I asked if the store manager could waive the fee, but I was told he wouldnβtβand he didnβt even come out to speak with me or discuss the situation. That alone said a lot about the level of customer service. The adviser continued to claim that finance customers βmust use delivery so the finance company can track where the sofa goes,β which made no sense to me. Once the finance agreement is signed, DFS is paid and the agreement is between me and the finance provider. Forcing customers into paying for a service they donβt need feels like poor sales practice and completely put me off the purchase. I walked out without buying, and I will never return to this store again. Very disappointing experience.

Large showroom with plenty of options available to look at. Would absolutely recommend going to this store, especially if you can deal with Nicola who worked with us over 2 separate days before we finalised our purchase. Nicolas service was exceptional, talking us through all possible options and configurations and being understanding and not pushy at all as we had our 2.5 year old toddler with us who was a distraction at times when she was trying to talk us through options. Sheβs a credit to the store and company and hope they know and she is recognised as she made our sofa buying journey smooth and simple and enjoyable. And even made friends with our toddler which is a rarity as she does not like strangers at all βΊοΈβΊοΈ

Absolutely shocking service all round. We bought a sofa from the warehouse (ex show room) and were promised it would be delivered that week. In reality, we were left without a sofa for months on end! When it eventually did arrive, the delivery driver told us that DFS hadn't even bothered to wrap it properly, and it was just carelessly put in the van without any protective cover etc. The lady we bought the sofa from clearly wanted a quick sale. The customer service after that point was awful. Avoid at all costs!

Large selection of what appears to be good quality sofas and beds. Huge building with ample space and a relaxed atmosphere. Didn't feel pressured at all from staff which I'm grateful for. Ample parking and lots of other shops nearby including coffee which you might need after so much sitting down you'll be doing here!

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Ordered my sofa in July and was told I would wait up to 6 weeks, 21 weeks later I still have no sofa. They keep giving new dates and βpromisingβ the sofa will arrive and then pushing it further and further back. Takes 20 minutes to get through to anybody on the phone and you never receive a call back. No updates are given unless you chase them, the customer services is absolutely shocking. Really wish Iβd have listened to other people when they warned me about this shambles of a company. Stay well clear.

Worst company to buy a sofa. My delivery was not complete. I have my unfinished living room and I've been waiting for a month and they still don't tell me anything about the other sofa or send me any email. Definitely the worst option I could choose

Had the wrong colour delivered despite it being very clear on the order. Customer service shocking, every tike I chase up I am told I will get a call in 24hrs, then 48hrs then 72hrs. 2 weeks and still waiting to get any call at all, might just cancel my payments, sure they will call me then.

I will never use this company again. I bought a sofa in May 2022 and had received exceptional customer service. It was delivered in August but the full cable for the recliner was missing. My husband contacted customer services to let them know that we had a missing part, they said we would get a call back to arrange a delivery. We did not receive any call back and received only one piece of the missing cable a week later. After countless number of phonecalls and false promises that they are escalating our case and that someone will call us back within 48 hours to arrange a delivery for the correct part, we are still waiting. I have sent emails but to no avail. I eventually went into the store in October where the manager pulled out a lead from a sofa on display and handed it over to me. I refused to accept the offer and asked him to arrange a collection for our sofa. We have been paying for a product that we haven't fully received which I feel is very unfair. If it was as simple as going into the store and picking up a cable I would have happily done this if I was informed but to keep me waiting 2 months was unacceptable. The manager rang me on the Monday after my visit to arrange a collection, I asked him to call me back the next day and I am still waiting three weeks later. I have spoken to customer services who again promised that they would escalate the situation and that I would get a call back within 48 hours, it has been 10 day's now and still no luck. I have never come across such poor customer service and will never use this company again. I am unable to cancel my payments because the credit company needs dfs to authorise it until I receive thhe full product, they haven't done this either.

Just go elsewhere honestly. Asked to buy a table, they said 10 weeks. I kindly declined, then sales assistant went to manager. Manager claimed it will be here in two weeks time. So I bought it. 2 weeks later, no sign. 10 weeks later still not here. Manager trying to push sales.
