Very polite when booking the slot to do a bumper repair. All fine till I arrived to be told "can't do it today...I'm rammed"..I had driven 35 miles specially and made arrangements to be car-less. Martin didn't give a monkeys He walked off and carried on spraying. When I said "why didn't you phone me to cancel he walked off again " saying "what do you want me to do ...I'm rammed.No hint of an apology. Appalling......................
Martin (the owner) does not deliver. He had my bumper for 4 months that needed repainting. He phoned me multiple times to ask what colour it was and every time he was told. He then tried to charge me £120 for priming it and he hadn't even painted it. Absolute joke.
If I could give zero stars I would. Booked in car two weeks ago. Turned up this morning having taken time off work, and guy says can't do the work as "I'm here on my own".... No phone call, nothing.... Fuming! I always try to support local businesses but I recommend you go elsewhere....
Great place for spray jobs great Value for Money, i have used them many a time. Insurance company wrote of by car repair for economic reasons, took the money had had the job done for a third of the insurance quoted price. Shine on....
I had had quotes from other body shops in the area and Martin's quote was the most reasonable. The finished job is excellent and very difficult to tell it has been repaired. It did take one day longer than expected (hence 4 stars) but Martin called to apologise.
BEWARE of this car body repair shop. Martin, the proprietor, is very crafty and a cheater. First I went into the shop for a quotation on 16th November. Martin gave me a quote and asked me to bring the car in on 12th December – he even diarised it in his calendar and also gave me his card confirming the quotation and date. I take my car in on 12th December and he confirmed that the job will be done by 14th December. I texted him on 13th afternoon asking him if he was on track to complete the job on 14th as per his promise. Martin didn’t care to respond to my calls/voicemails/texts. On 14th December morning, he texted me a message with kind words asking me to take the car back (as he has overbooked himself) and bring it again in new year and he will do the job for half price to compensate for the inconvenience. Being kind to him and appreciating his difficulty, I agreed but I did highlight to him that I have to manage childcare and work and so he needs to give me enough notice if he wants to change bookings. He confirmed that he understood and has booked me in for 9th January. On 5th January, I texted Martin again to confirm that I was bringing the car in on 9th January as per his promise. Now, again he doesn’t respond for 2 days and texts me on Monday morning that he isn’t feeling well and can’t do the job during week commencing 9th Jan. Again, being kind to him, I agreed and said that he needs to give me a date for week commencing 16th January as it has already been delayed for too long and I had to reschedule my child care and work arrangements at a short notice one more time. I requested him to come back to me by 10th January with a confirmation. By this time, I was getting an idea of Martin’s bad intentions and his false promises. So I texted him again on 10th January and I had no response. I again texted him on 12th January and again no response till date. He does not answer my calls or respond to my voicemails either. I would strongly recommend that no business should be given to this crafty workshop owner even if he agrees to do job for pennies
