Have tried this place too many times already. Has no benefit to people of other cultures as they can not relate to our issues. Experiencing racism for 12 years and as soon as you talk about it, they become uncomfortable or try to explain it away.. if you change the way you think you will feel differently all the while still going through said racism. Have had 1 black counsellors in about 5 or 6... absolutely waste of time and nhs money! And the only service they offer in lichfield that you can refer yourself... or like everything else here.. you will wait forever to find out GPS haven't referred you anywhere!

the only thing redeeming this place is my one therapist. during my assessment the man did not listen to me when i explained my problems and shamed me for needing my mother there (i was 16, the minimum age they accept and i have crippling social anxiety) they only let me have therapy for 6 weeks which is not enough time for anyone.

Need to look at how badly and unprofessional the bereavement service is run

Total waste of time. After months of attending this clinic and not feeling any better I was finally diagnosed by a doctor with Lyme Disease & B12 Deficiency. The NHS really need to check for underlying causes instead of just labelling it anxiety & depression!! It’s a disgrace!! If you are struggling with mental health I would strongly urge you to go private or go elsewhere! It took over 2 months to get seen and on one occasion the CBT therapist didn’t even turn up!!! The government really needs to put more money into these departments!! It’s so underfunded!! Disgrace!!!!
