Requested my repeat prescription as normal, expecting it to be sent to the pharmacy as normal. Get a text saying it is ready to collect from reception. I phone to find out what is going on, and am told that it has been written and signed and needs collecting. I explain that I never collect and usually collect from my local pharmacy as I cannot get to the drs at the moment, to be told that it cannot be changed. I request to speak to the manager to be told 'they are in a meeting' I then asked why it cannot be changed when it is the drs mistake as I have never once had a physical prescription to collect to again be told it cannot be changed once created. I understand if it was my own mistake, but the receptionist was very unhelpful and not at all sympathetic to the mistake made by themselves. She shouldnt be working at a drs practice if she doesnt have any customer service skills or at least needs some training. Just plain rude.

i never leave reviews but i have just been to take my nan to an appointment because she needs support with walking and doing things in general due to having a broken shoulder. we were late to the appointment because the taxi was late and it takes her a reasonable time to get a wash and get dressed due to her arm. the nurse we had was so inconsiderate. we understood she couldnt do the full appointment since there wasnt enough time, but the way she spoke to my nan was awful. i have never seen my nan cry or get upset and yet she did in this appointment. if you have a job where you are working with vulnerable people auch as elderly people, you need to be more considerate. do you not think she was already feeling helpless and upset that she i struggling to do basic things like get dressed? nurses need a reality check. we know you are busy, we know its a hard job but dont do it if you cant handle keeping a brave face for those in need and those you are there to make feel safe.

So my opinion of this surgery has changed drastically. I have been on a repeat prescription for a number of treatments for a considerable period of time. I order these online and they are delivered by post. Without explanation the surgery decided to delete one of my medications and is refusing to remedy the situation in a timely manner given the Christmas period. To say I am disappointed does not even come close to describing how I feel about this.

Awful service. They do not bother call you with your results. They are reluctant to make you a doctors appointment. The pre-recorded message is over 2min long. The new online system doesn't work and is designed to send you to a pharmacy instead of seeing a doctor If your lucky enough to get through on the telephone as most of the time it cuts you off immediately , then your normal position 20 in the queue. My tax has gone up this year to over £15k with £4,700 going to the healthcare and I cant get my 5 year old seen by the doctors. This is an absolutely disgrace and total rip off and something needs to be done. Ordered prescription last week 15.07.2022 to Primary pharmacy. Chased this Wednesday this week as the medication was very important. "Their response was "errrr for some reason it got printed here at the clinic and now we have lost it." I asked why have things got so poor and there response was sometimes these things happen and we are short staffed. Their pre recorded new message at the beginning of the call is only designed for one thing and that's to get rid of you off the phone. I wouldn't mind but the NHS isn't free. I pay nearly £5k a year for the service. The Health Service Ombudsman needs to intervein with the poor level of service we are receiving. I want the choice to organise my own health care with the £5k I spend a year on the NHS.

Easier to see a Vet than the "Lesser Spotted Doctor" in this place. They freak out if you turn up at the door, and if you call they will tell you to wait for a phone consultation, and theres still usually no way of actually seeing a Doctor, they just bounce you in to a Hospital, which is why the A&E departments are always full because you just can't get to see one of these clowns. And, my surgery has 14 GP's in it. They should be on shifts, they open when you are allready at work, they close while you are still at work, they don't really do propper late openings and neither do they do early morning openings either, and let's not forget that weekends are out too. I have absolutely zero sympathy for GP's now. I would give zero stars if possible.

I have been using this doctors surgery for a number of years now and it has become better and better. Like any other practice it does have its downfalls, however considering how busy it is you are always able to see a doctor if your issue is urgent. It may not be the doctor you want, but if you're ill surely that doesn't matter! I have seen a number of doctors and all have been helpful, friendly and willing to help. It is however always worthwhile telling the receptionist when you call what your problem is, as some doctors may have a specialism in that particular field. There is also a new and improved pharmacy based on the premises who work closely with the doctors, so your prescriptions can automatically be sent to them. This pharmacy is open long hours, both throughout the week and on weekends. Only superficial improvements to be made would be the decor and more receptionists on the desk / answering the phone.
