   I am disgusted how my mum was treated she had a bad chest and could hardly walk as it had affected her legs. I phoned down to get a doctor out but they wouldn’t send one out because she could normally walk into the surgery she has a heart condition if myself or my dad never acted fast by calling 111 and got an ambulance she could of ended up with pneumonia ended up being admitted with the flu. We have been with Laurel house for 25 plus years and this is the first time we have had to complain. I was not happy at all and surely on her record it would state she has a heart condition but didn’t want to send a doctor out.

   Completed a test at a separate specialist unit and they immediately completed their analysis and sent results by email to Laurel House Surgery. I waited a week as directed by the specialist. Contacting the Surgery three times over the following three weeks I was told results not received and to contact the specialist. Evidently the Surgery has deleted the original email and then wants me to do the followup for them. Specialist immediately re-sent the results to the Surgery. Two weeks later and two further requests to Laurel House Surgery and still the results are 'passing through the clinical system for a GP to review'. Specialist treatment 5/5, Laurel House Surgery and typical NHS bureaucracy 0/5.

   I’ve only been with this GP practice for 3 weeks and have already found their level of service amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, I feel very comfy and listened to and they have a real sense of empathy and understanding to each patients needs. It’s nice to be heard and treated like a person for a change instead of rushed in and out. This goes for all the staff not just the medical side but the receptionists too. Can’t recommend this practice enough - Go surgeries get a bad rep at the minute but not Laurel House - keep up the great work all

   I’ve seen Rachel Young on two occasions regarding my breathing problems. She comprehensively explained tests that I needed to do before my next appointment to aid getting a definite diagnosis. I felt reassured that I would be getting the very best management available. At my second appointment, a diagnosis was made. She went on to explain the medication I needed to keep me as well as possible and how to use it. She also sent me a link to print off the instructions as a reminder. Well done to Rachel Young and to Laurel House!

   After waiting 5 weeks for blood tests, to only find out through chasing them up that the machine at Good Hope is broken I requested that they be done elsewhere. Another week forward and 3 phone calls later and still nothing! I spoke to Sarah and Fiona who were nice, and one other lady I wont name but not so nice! Apparently a request has been sent to the Doctor who needs to authorise this, I asked if I could make another appointment if this would speed things up but told no the request was just waiting for the doctor to approve, 6 week and I'm no further forward, and as I explained to each person I spoke with, my symptoms are getting worst, but nobody seems to care. This practice use to be one of the best in Tamworth, it's certainly fell down the rankings over the last few years!

   Absolutely joke of a doctors!!! DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PRACTICE! Nothing but problem after problem. Receptionists are rude! Doctors need to go back to uni with clearly no clue other than a text book! Been with these my whole life was only a good practice when DR Killeen was there! Will be moving and definatly wouldn't recommend.

   Had appointment with copd nurse as was so so helpful. She explained condition and usage of treatment in so much detail and terms that anyone can understand. I didn't feel rushed and felt that they cared and had my best interests at heart. Already had confirmation of next appointment excellent levels of patient care.

   Litterly can't fault this doctors, having had high blood pressure for ages and avoiding for so long as too scared.. they wouldn't let it go, BP monitors, blood tests and tablets to control all.. asthma review.. the whole works!!! Lovely friendly staff from start to finish, brilliant work all!! Thank you from someone who's not scared anymore to visit my friendly doctor xx

   Might as well close this surgery as I don’t believe there are actually any doctors working at the place, my wife has been ill for 4 weeks now and we have not seen a doctor, terrible how it’s got to this state as it used to be excellent when Dr Killeen was there. We have decided to try and switch to another doctor if possible as Laurel House is a waste of time. Have now left Laurel House and switched to another surgery and the difference is unbelievable and wished we had done it years ago as Laurel House is a disgrace and as I said before I doubt if there any doctors working there, I would urge anyone to leave them and try another Surgery. Quick update on switching surgery, it’s the best thing we have done, my Wife has been seen by a Doctor and given antibiotics, and we have taken a sample to Good Hope for analysis, totally different service to Laurel House.
