Dear Halfords Customer Service, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service I received during my visit to your Acton branch on Monday, 9th December 2024. Although some time has passed since my visit, I felt it was essential to bring this matter to your attention after recently receiving a 10-point test on my car. To my absolute shock, I have discovered that the corner of my car’s bumper now bears blue and white scratch marks that were not present before. This damage strongly suggests that someone carelessly drove my vehicle and knocked it while it was being taken to the back for inspection. At no point during my visit was this issue mentioned or acknowledged. Upon reflection, I recall the supervisor receiving a phone call during my time in the reception area. He glanced in my direction before heading to the back, but I did not think much of it at the time. When he returned, he explained the areas needing repair with a calm and pleasant demeanor, but there was no acknowledgment or accountability for the damage caused. Frankly, I find this lack of honesty and accountability deeply disappointing. If a mistake occurred under the supervisor's watch, it should have been addressed transparently, not concealed. This incident has not only caused some physical damage to my vehicle but has also eroded my trust in your service. I expect a full investigation into this matter and a clear explanation of how such an incident was allowed to happen without acknowledgment. Additionally, I would like to know what steps you will take to rectify the damage caused to my car and to ensure incidents like this do not happen again in the future. I look forward to your prompt response.

You book services and MOTs in advance only to be notified on the day that it is cancelled. This has happened on multiple occasions this year and last. Excuses vary from faulty equipment to staff Sicknesses. They run on miminum numbers and unreliable people. Cost cutting is the priority over service provision at this branch. Avoid.

I recently took my vehicle for an MOT at this garage and was disappointed with the service I received. I was told that my front brakes were severely weakened, but this was later proven to be false by another garage. I confronted the manager about this and they were uncooperative during the phone call. To make matters worse, I discovered that my dashcam had been disconnected and the SD card had been formatted. The manager initially claimed it was for data protection purposes, but then changed their story and said it was due to an MOT failure that was not mentioned on my MOT certificate. I would not trust this garage with my vehicle again and would not recommend them to others. Their lack of professionalism and unethical behavior is unacceptable, and I will make sure to spread the word about my negative experience.

Great service: very friendly and helpful; M.O.T. started and finished on time. The staff were very accommodating of my passenger, a wheelchair user: provided parking spot with additional space. Trustworthy and great value for money, will definitely use this place when in need of any work for the car. Thank you.

Had a great experience here at Halfords Acton. The manager at the front desk and the mechanic (Palestinian gentleman) were courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. At no point did I feel as though I was being misled about a service I didn’t need. Prices are also super reasonable compared to their competitors.

Got 4 new tyres in the Black Friday sale at 15% off. Got booking slot to suit. Was told when I got there it will take an hour. Asked if they had WiFi to read news while I wait, checked in settings and while told no, it was listed as free WiFi but it would not connect. Told I could go to a cafe nearby but I had had my limit of coffee. Was done in 55 minutes. Had the WiFi worked it would have flown by. No hidden charges given. All in all a great service.

I went in the day before, they did a vehicle inspection of all my tyres. The manager explained I needed two new front tyres and my back ones were fine. They ordered two brand new hancocks for my van costing £111.00+ VAT .Got there at 8.30 am the next day, within 45mins both tyres were changed, they even topped up my oil. As a female it can be quite intimidating going to these places, but the manager was lovely, They used plastic covers so my seats wouldn't get dirty. Altogether I felt I got a good service and was not ripped off. You can also have your vehicle serviced there , I would definitely recommend this branch of Halfords

went to Halfords Acton branch to fit 2 rear tyres....they did it without any advice or communication. Upon arrival at my home "10 mins away", I tried to check what pressure they put into the tyres but one tyre as in photo was with damaged valve so it could not take the pump hose! Returned back to the garage and the office guy asked me if I damaged the valve by pliers!!! They replaced the valve but they did not explain how the valve was damaged! Halfords sell good quality parts but From my experience in Acton Centre there was not professional manner with tough guys who lack good customer service. The place not well organised as I had to exit from the entrance because there was a car parked in the exit.

the workshop, incompetent for a few days, has been saying that the car is almost ready ... I would have it ready on Monday, unfortunately they finished only on Wednesday - they finished too much to say the pictures speak for themselves. The manager claimed that they did not touch the gear stick, while the mechanic claims that they had to because they did not have access to the safety button. Communication at a very low level. And I just heard a separate apology. However, I can praise the young Mechanic Jordan, a very nice and humble boy, he put everything together. I hope the alternator is well selected and mounted.

I usually come to this branch because it's very closed from where I live. Competitive prices, welcoming and friendly service and kept up to date with progress while the work was being done. I waited I'm the customer area and offered tea/coffee, and my car was ready within an hour. Would definitely recommend and return to Halfords Autocentre Acton. The reason I give only 4 stars is because it is hard to contact by telephone. They seem to be very busy always.
