   I’ve been to a fair few garages in Barnet/surrounding areas over the years and feel I’ve finally seen what a garage should be! Trustworthy, efficient, friendly and excellent service. The staff actually took time to explain everything to me which they didn’t have to do, and weren’t condescending with my limited knowledge. I had suspicions that a previous garage hadn’t carried out the best work and RPM rectified this without a fuss. The work they carried out was done quicker than expected and at a very competitive price, completely transparent and great communication with a good paragraph of information on the invoice echoing again what they’d done. I’m glad I’ve found a garage for life now! You can tell they genuinely care and want to help. 10/10. Thank you!

   I hate giving bad reviews but having just had my car MOT’d at a different dealership I feel it’s only fair I give my honest experience as I left this mechanic with a bad feeling. I brought my car in originally having had a amber warning light appear on my dash. They charged me 108 for the privilege of using their diagnostic machine. The result of which they told was that I would need to replace the catalytic converter entirely before my next MOT or else it would fail. This, as quoted by RPM, was a 1000+ plus job. Crikey. I believed them but as I didn’t have the funds it would have to wait. They reset my warning lights and off I went. My MOT came around and I went a different mechanic who had been recommended. PASSED MOT. I actually asked about the specific issue and they saw nothing of an issue with the emissions that RPM had reported as close to point of failing the test. Cherry on top a few months later I went to this mechanic as I had another amber light on my dash. The computer had never been reset so there were a few faults appearing. They cleared it to see what the problem was and guess what? Nothing. The light never reappeared. And I was never charged by this mechanic for the 10 minute diagnostic. The team at RPM were really nice so I hope mine was a bad experience. Charging 100+ to check a warning light however is shady..

   We feel lucky to have a local garage we can trust. Phil and his team offer honesty and can be relied upon to be helpful. Before the Christmas Break, we had an issue with our tyre pressure which they resolved with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of charm. Look no further for your local car maintenance needs.

They go the extra mile for their clients when urgent work is required and at other times always explain what work is required clearly (and prior to doing it!), and charge fair prices for their work. It's great to have a garage of such consistent quality and honesty nearby.
