Love this place for drinks. Tried the food last night. Calamari with Katsu curry was lovely. Steak was cooked well. Pork dishes needed a sauce with it, far too dry. Basque cheesecake was far too rich, really didn't enjoy that. Good selection of drinks and great atmosphere. Overall 8/10

Waited around 45 mins for a terribly cooked piece of meat. It said slow cooked when it clearly wasn’t. Chewy and difficult to pull off the bone. It was intended to make own tacos but they were like rubber. Terrible for the price. The battered squid and curried slaw was good and chips were cooked as normal. The meal was for my Mum’s birthday and really set the day off on the wrong foot. For that price, quality should be much better. I won’t be returning, although the breakfast does look good.

Didn't eat it there, but bartenders was really kind in the morning. I just waiting my check-in to the hostel next door. Nice espresso, real Italian coffee machine. Perfect place to start exploring Manchester, best time to visit 8-11PM on Friday. IPA, cider is ok. It was live music on Thursday.

The building has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were welcoming and polite throughout mine and my friend's visit. The food is pricey, with our total bill for 2 meals, 2 desserts, and 2 drinks coming to just over Β£80 (inc. service fee) but the price is reflected in the quality. The mains were ordered were the salmon feta bagel, and the steak frittes, and for dessert we got both a slice of the honey cake and cheesecake. All the food was wonderful, and the crisp apple draught cider was genuinely the nicest cider I've ever had, and cider is my go-to for a drink with a meal. Wonderful experience overall. My only complaint would be having the 12.5% tip being put on the bill by default, as tips shouldn't be an expectation but rather a courtesy to show valued service. I intended on tipping but having it as a default isn't a practice I like, especially when anxious people won't be willing to confront or question it. Would definitely come again

We wanted breakfast and whilst the selection was average one of use could sub some of items so end up wasting food. Seating was shocking but since we were in they have redone boths. Service was average

5 of us and a baby went for brunch on Saturday. They had run out of the veggie sausage. But we're still charging full price for basically hash browns, and tofu. They had run out of orange/apple juice - so we ordered pineapple. Which never came....when we chased it had also run out... Ordered the vegan hash breakfast. There was almost 0 sauce or avocado. And the hash things were both cold and not cooked through (gooey liquid inside). And it took like 45mins from ordering for the rubbish food to come. And it took ages to be able to pay at the end. Waiting staff were nice though. Oh and the toilets are disgusting.

My visit was around 10 am on a Saturday. A real shame for my visit. I felt for the staff. Clearly they were under staffed. They had to turn people away. Coffee drinks were small, no large cups/glass offerings. By time our food arrived, we wanted another drink but they had such a backlog we had finished our meal and waited 15 mins, then when we asked about the drinks we were told there were 6 orders ahead of us. My wife had the sweet potato fritters and she said it was very salty, too salty. I had the English breakfast. It was ok but that was about it. A bit too greecy and the sourdough bread crust was way too hard to eat. I heard the waitress on a number of occasions mention they had ran out of different ingredients. The waitress was friendly enough and the staff were obviously working hard to turn tables. They really shoukd have more staff. I wouldn't return again, given the overall experience but they have real potential to improve. Overall its not that bad, just disapoing more than anything. One final thought, the toilets were really dirty and had no soap in the soap machine.

Food was divine. Cannot recommend their sausage sandwich with chilli jam and aioli enough. Really good food and quiet in the morning.

Been here twice for breakfast. First time it took an age to get served. We were then forgotten about and had to remind the staff about what we ordered and where we were sat. Second time I was seated and served quickly as the place was much quieter. Food was average, the beans were cool, like they'd been left out and some of the bacon was soft and floppy, like it had been in the washing machine. The staff seem to forget you exist once you've been served and are happy to stand at the bar and chat or look at their phones. My favourite part was when one of the staff stood at the bar having a drink whilst chewing gum. Not noticing that I was waiting for someone to speak to. A couple next to me ended up leaving because no one bothered to serve them. And another couple sat looking annoyed as they had clearly become fed up with the wait. A man with an earpiece, who I can only assume was the manager, appeared more interested in telling people that they weren't letting anyone else in, kind of like a bouncer, rather than checking on existent tables. If he'd come and seen if I was ready to pay, those people would have had a place to sit. There's never an apology, a sorry for your wait. Not even a "how was your food". Just silence. If I was the owner I'd be giving a serious think to whether I want my business being run like that. All in all I won't be returning and I'll be making sure everyone I know doesn't go either.
