    Absolutely appalling customer service – avoid SCS at all costs Hands down the worst experience we’ve ever had with a retailer. After being told we could pay the balance for our Β£1600+ sofa at the Chesterfield store, my wife was spoken to rudely and dismissively by staff. What followed was a farcical back-and-forth between the Chesterfield and Crystal Peaks branches, each blaming the other while we were left stuck in the middle. Three full days of my time were wasted trying to resolve what should have been a simple payment. The staff were arrogant, unhelpful, and completely incompetent. Even after admitting the fault lay entirely with SCS, there was no effort to make things right. It’s clear that Chesterfield and Sheffield branches couldn’t organise a thing between them. I will NEVER use SCS again and would strongly advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere. Disgraceful from start to finish.

    Lovely relaxed atmosphere, the staff left us to explore but made it clear they were there if we wanted them. Very good with helping us make our choices. Would definitely go there again

    What hasn't gone wrong, we ordered a sofa in November 2024 we got put down on home buyers so was told when we was ready to complete the order to come in and finish the order. We went back in a month later to complete they order to be told the sofa had already been ordered in the wrong colour and to the wrong address, we was told by the manager this would be sorted and "WE WILL GET THE RIGHT COLOUR" and they are ordering the new one right away. We was then told to accept the wrong coloured sofa and then the right sofa will be delivered and they will just swap them. We checked this with a different store which confirmed this is the right way to do it. So we accepted the wrong sofa which is not what we wanted at all. After hearing nothing from the store we went back in 2 more times as has no conformation this sofa had been order throw email. Which we was told it wasn't on the system as they has emailed the team making the sofa but not to worry it will be with us soon. It is now almost April- 5 months since we first made our order and 3 months since we received the wrong sofa. We have visited the Chesterfield store again on the 23rd march 2025 to ask for any updates as again we still have heard anything and still no conformation, To be told by a staff member that she believes it hasn't been ordered due to it not showing on the system at all. They staff member told us she would get the manager to call us the following day 24th March which we received no phone call so we went down to that store again to speak to the manager face to face. The manager didn't come out to see us and left a member of staff to tell us they are waiting for a reply from head office regarding the delivery. The member of staff couldn't answer if they sofa had even been ordered and just kept saying it's in hand and just wait and we will get a call. This is not good enough and to top it all off they have started taking payments for a sofa we haven't reserved. I will be calling the call centre to raise a complaint also when I can actually get throw to an advice.

    Saleman didnt tell us the correct information at point of sale and now customer services dont want to help. You can ask all the questions in store and been answers but they said what suits to get a sale and wash their hands of you when they have your money

    Shocking, called in to look at some carpets, staff appeared to be more interested in socialising than sales, we gave someone else our buisness.

    Very good service Jack was very patient with us. There were no pushy sales people we were left to wander and when we wanted help we were given polite friendly service. Even got coffee. Just got to wait for sofas now.

    We previously brought from this store, ended up buying online, as the sales team was very pushy, We took the insurance out, when defects occurred (dipping on the arms, and board support) We was then informed we wasn't covered and would cost to repair!! So don't bother with the "it covers you" nonsense We went back to the store to look for another new sofa, to basically be followed around the store the whole time, which almost felt like they was expecting a family to walk out with a 3 piece sofa under my jacket... Felt very awkward and pushy We soon left... We appreciate the pandemic has put pressure on businesses, a simple greet and be accessible for assistance would be better then following customer around like a wolf on the hunt!
