We stayed at this Travelodge for 2 nights Sunday 23rd & Mon 24th in room 212. We had also booked to stay on the night of Wednesday 26th, this must now be cancelled as we do not want a repeat of what I have written below. In the very early hours of Monday morning, we had to go to A&E as my wife had a very painful tooth abscess, and we noticed I had a couple of red areas on my arm and hand. We arrived back at the Travelodge around 5am and went back to bed for a couple of hours. When we awoke I was covered in raised, red, sore, itchy, lumps. We had to rush to get to our very important business training day at the Entrepreneurs Circle in Birmingham. Her sore areas got worse as the day progressed. Because of our interrupted sleep the night before we had felt it necessary to stay over as we felt it would be too dangerous to drive after so little sleep. We went to straight to bed on arriving back at your Travelodge, getting up at 4am. I was now in considerable discomfort and pain. On pulling the bedclothes back we found a large bedbug, my wife's instant reaction was to flick it away. On pulling the sheets off we came across another, though smaller bedbug. Because of my reaction to the bed bugs my wife (in pain) had to drive the whole journey back to our home in Broadstairs instead of us sharing the journey in 2hr blocks as we usually did. I am now not just feeling discomfort but am feeling very poorly having had a severe reaction to the bedbug bites. I am now on three different medications, we have had to smokebomb the house and have the car cleaned in order to ensure that no little critters have come home with us. The only good thing I have to say out of all this is the lovely staff. On our arrival Ollie helped us take our belongings up to our room as at the age of 70 I have to hold onto the handrail when negotiating stairs. He was also very sympathetic and apologetic when we left at 5am. Miraculously, Travelodge started responding to our emails within 1 minute of my TripAdvisor review being published. Funny that!

One of the best travelodges to stay. We have stayed here loads of times and everyone is always helpful.

Set in a very quiet location a few miles away from Birmingham city centre with plenty of parking. Check in was quick and the receptionist was more interested a problem with her computer than speaking to me. Rooms were clean and well maintained.

Nice little Travel lodge in a residential area. If you want all the glitter and bells this is not a hotel for you. It's very basic as are the rooms. But as we just wanted it to get our heads down after a trip to Tamworth, before the long drive home, it was ideal. Can't comment on the food or menu as we just used the room. But staff were polite ans helpful.

Overall the stay was decent, however the fire alarm going off at 5am which no apology was issued for as it was a "fault". Plug sockets are located no where near the beds.

Very friendly and helpful manager and staff. Travelodge Customer service and computer booking a mess, it lets the hotel down, would have been a hundred percent if it was working properly

I used to come to this Travelodge regularly before Covid. First time back since early 2020. Free parking, pub and shops nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. But rooms looking tatty. Carpets are disgusting, obviously construction workers and dirty boots have taken their toll. I didnt want to take shoes off nevermind socks! Bed comfy, sheets immaculate. Bathroom tatty, but clean and decent shower. And i had a quiet peacefull night.

No breakfast, tired carpets, no one services the rooms during the day. Staying in the area for more than a night? Go to the Premiere Inn down the road.

The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a tidy up. Missed not having a net curtain at the window too. As we were right by the door it was pretty noisy when other guests were going in and out, lack of consideration on their part. There are notices up to be quiet
