I went to l1 nails yesterday for the first time with my mum and 8 year old little sister. At first it seemed really nice, the banter etc. Seemed like a tight ship. my mum wanted long red square nails. the shaping and application was rushed, Brandon did this step. she went to get the paint on top. they left her with nail polish underneath and when she asked for them to fix it they seemed annoyed and clearly started speaking about her in vietnamese. her nails are all different lengths, the painting was rushed, no cuticle oil afterwards which i thought was routine. and lumps and bumps like a dent in a couple nails as if there isnt enough acrylic or gel. my little sister wanted her nails painting for halloween (not a regular occurrence) and we asked for just gel polish not thinking it was going to be £24! which went down to £20!! they were badly done as well, didnt cover the whole nail. i wanted take off with full set acrylic. i wanted take off instead of infill as i wanted them longer. i said i wanted same length as my mum. he cut it fine length but then filed way to short and was all different lengths. i didnt say anything as i dont like confrontation but as well you cant go back when they file too much. my mum saw and spoke up for me. brandon starts speaking/shouting loud like “why didnt you tell me Iris!” etc. making matters worse. i told him in the beginning i wanted. everyone started looking. i started getting really anxious so what was supposed to be a nice relaxing time was a horrible stressed out time. then he begins to say they dont do long nails, when there were multiple other customers that had long nails. and said i had small nails?? i do not, they were not short and i do not have small nails. continued to rush. all different lengths and seemed to have rolled eyes a few times. i was then sent over to get them painted, once again very rushed, all different french tips and the woman said to wait until 0 and then we can leave as my mum paid once she was finished. nails already look out grown. too much talk, too rushed, no attention to detail, so expensive for what you get, don’t know how they have so many good reviews. lost a customer or two. i can do nails better than this, just wanted to treat ourselves for once.

Absolutely loved my experience at this nail salon in Liverpool! The service was fast, affordable, and the results were flawless. The nail artists were so lovely — friendly, professional, and really took the time to make sure I was happy with everything. I was in and out quickly without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere was super welcoming. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends!

My first time having my nails done in the UK. Just had it done yesterday and nail is already chipped today! Bad quality and unhygienic. When the lady was filing my nails she used her nails to remove the excess from my fingernails. Cant u use a proper tool to do it. She cant shape the nails too. I have done manicure for a long time now and never in my life had my nails chipped the day after doing it . Im really appalled by the quality here .

Absolutely amazing, the staff are SO kind and funny, they are so so amazing at getting the perfect nail shape that lasts so much longer then nails I've gotten other places. This salon is a well oiled machine and now the only people I trust with my nails! I do wish they had a ramp installed out front to be accessable like the rest of the city center is, but I may be the only wheelchair client who insists on just lifting my chair up over the step just to get their service.

I've been coming for a couple of years but recently the quality seems to have slipped. 2-3 occasions now the nails are lifting in 2 weeks, makes it impossible to ever get infills (which makes me think this is the reason as infills will of course be more affordable). The production line style of work has never been my favourite but they make it work, although I wish they wouldn't turn down more difficult designs during busier periods, essentially prioritising money over their clients happiness. It's always friendly and fun though so that's been the main reason I'm returning

Great if you have already prepared nails, but as I have short, bitten nails I don't do anything to them to begin with. They didn't push back or trim my cuticles, so my acrylics look a little off due to the misshapen line of my cuticles, which is a shame. The acrylics themselves look great, very even and pretty from a distance, but up close, due to the issue I just mentioned, they unfortunately look a little messy. The staff were nice, and helped me pick a shape and length, and were very quick. I wish, for the price I paid (£39 for short length acrylics, and a french tip paint) I was happier with the end result.

My nails are so lovely! The staff are super friendly and made me feel very welcome. I also got 15% as a student. Will definitely be coming back again!

Got my nails done yesterday with my mate and we both received fab service! Unfortunatly at the time i didnt like the base colour that i chose for my design but the team changed it for me the next day without any fuss! Will definitely continue coming in the future!
