All the staff from cleaners to consultants friendly, professional & helpful. The doctor I saw today explained everything to me to put at ease, and she actually cared! I did spend a few days as a patient here. Everyone was so friendly and understood how worried I was. ALl staff were happy and easy to talk to, which made my stay away from my family easier. A wonderful service from the NHS at University Hospital Coventry, thank you! The one and only gripe though is the car park. Firstly. It's difficult to find a space, but you can cope with that, but the extortionate parking changes is just wrong! £5.45 just for an appointment yesterday ! When I was a patient here, the parking cost that much, it left us in the red in our vank account! Rip off merchants!

AFU ward. October 25th. Absolutely wonderful staff, working well under difficult circumstances. A patient was ready to go home but the staff couldn't get hold of the agency that provide his in home care to allow him to be safely discharged. No one answered the phone of the agency to let them know he needed the carers calling. As a result there was a bed that was being "blocked" from someone else being admitted. Management should surely be available 7 days a week. There should be better management and organisation between community care and the hospitals. This would allow more beds to be freed up for those that need them. Accident and emergency on 23 to 24th October. Please understand, this is not a criticism of any staff members. They work well, with what they have. The waiting room is not fit for purpose. It is cramped and far too small for the amount of people using the service. Manoeuvring wheelchairs through the throngs of people is very difficult. There is not enough seating, people have to stand and chairs are a free for all should you need to go to the loo. Waiting times are horrendous. Totally we were there 20 hours. Another lady had been there 27! Yes, we were had triage, had tests and scans. But till bed available including other waiting time 20 hours. We need more staff, and a bigger waiting area. Also, why on earth were St.Cross A&E, Coventry and Warwick A&E closed?? They are needed!!

The worst experience in a A&E department. The patients have to colapse on the floor to be even aknowledge by the staff. The staff attitude just shows they simply don't care ( I'm a nurse myself in a different hospital and I can recognise those attitudes). My mother was promised a painkiller and 6 hours later she had not received it,the total time of our visit was 14h and we had to beg for a copy of the discharge report, which for some reason they didn't want to give to the patient. People shouting of pain, vomiting and colapsing at the A&E waiting room, very old people sitting on those chairs for hours and half fainting but the staff just pass by and don't even offer them a weelchair to enter to see the doctor when they call them insise or even try to help them to walk. The most inhuman care I have ever seen, a shame to see that as a nurse. Caring? Responsive?well led? Effective? SAFE???? Absolutely no!! No wonder this hospital ranked 132 among 135 trust in the NHS( we just found out this today when we checked reviews online).

My recent experience at the University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire was extremely disappointing. I came in with a broken leg and was shocked at the lack of care and attention that I received. Upon arrival, I was told to walk it off and that it was probably just a sprain. Despite my insistence that I was in a lot of pain, the staff were dismissive and uninterested in providing proper care. When I finally received treatment, the quality of care was subpar. The staff were unprofessional and seemed to be rushing through the process, without taking the time to properly explain the treatment or provide any sort of bedside manner. The overall cleanliness and hygiene of the hospital were also questionable, with a lack of attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and sanitization. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at the University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire. The lack of care and professionalism was concerning, and I would not recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical care. The staff need to take the time to properly assess and treat their patients, and ensure that the hospital is clean and hygienic to prevent the spread of infections.

You could be dying and either no one answers the phone or when you walk in, the nurses still won’t see you. Between the hundreds of calls we’ve placed, and the constant rescheduling of appointments (on their end), you’re literally dead. Wife told them numerous times she is not feeling well and after 100 checkups/ appointments, she’s been diagnosed with cancer. Maybe if the management/ nursing team did a better job, we would have had a better chance for early detection and beat this disease! The UK government / health system has failed us.

Big thank you to nurses and doctors on 22 & 33 who cared for me on my recent emergency visit. Despite being what I can only describe as swarmed with patients, the swift care I received was excellent and very much appreciated. The hospital did look in a state of chaos at times, the sheer number of patients wanting to be seen at once looked unsustainable to me, I'm not sure how as human beings the nurse, doctor, employee at the first point of contact copes and doesn't have a nervous breakdown. Whatever the cause, whoever to blame, something needs to be done. Everyone deserves the same excellent care I received. Again, thank you ward 22 & 33.

My Aunt was taken in today with sepsis, we knew it was futile from her underlying health condition. The treatment from Hazel the registrar in A&E and the team was outstanding. The care and compassion my aunt received before she passed away pain free and peacefully was outstanding and I thank them all.

Ward 52 could not be more disappointing. They never pick up the phone when multiple people in a family phone to see how an 86 year old lady is doing. It is midday and we currently have no idea how she is doing and whether or not she has had hip surgery (we also got told yesterday she had the surgery but she got “confused” with another patient). I understand you are all busy but we are a very worried family who are being completely left in the dark. For my family’s sake, please start picking up the phone.
