    Absolutely fantastic service from the team at Greystone. They were able to find us an apartment in next to no time in the heart of Jewellery Quarter which we immensely happy with it. Shortly after we moved in we noticed a small leak coming from our en suite, however it was dealt with extreme efficiency and now looks good as new. Aside from that the last 12 months has been amazing. Thank you so much to all at Greystone.

    In response to the agent’s claims: You have not addressed that I lived in hazardous conditions for six months, paying FULL RENT with no rent relief or compensation. My photos clearly demonstrate the property’s hazardous state. Your only meaningful response during this period was a last minute suggestion for me to move out, which failed to offer any concrete plan to resolve the issues or mitigate the uninhabitable conditions. Despite my repeated efforts to seek clarification on the terms of moving out early, I received no clear guidance, leaving me stuck in an unlivable situation. While the source of the leak may have been outside your direct control, your responsibility as the managing agent was to ensure the property remained livable, which you failed to do. Furthermore, my decision to rent another property through you was driven by urgency and limited options, not by satisfaction with your service. At no point during the six months of unsafe conditions did you offer rent relief or meaningful compensation for the unacceptable state of the property. The letting agent and this property are an absolute disgrace. Leaks, black mold, crumbling walls, and a complete lack of maintenance made living here a nightmare. The letting agent was just as bad—constant posturing, reassurances, and excuses offering nothing but lip service with zero meaningful action. His occasional site visits felt more like performative gestures than genuine attempts to resolve the issues, as they resulted in no tangible progress. Excuses about dealing with the management company, contractors, or landlord mean nothing when the problems remain unresolved and the place continues to deteriorate. It was all talk, no results, and the health and safety of tenants were clearly the lowest priority. The leaks alone persisted for over six months, despite multiple complaints and follow-ups, worsening the damage and creating hazardous living conditions. The prolonged stress and unhealthy environment began to take a toll on my physical health and mental well-being, adding yet another layer to an already unbearable situation. The photos speak for themselves—this isn’t just negligence; it’s outright incompetence and disregard for tenant welfare. Despite repeated complaints, they failed to fix the issues, leaving me to endure worsening conditions. By the time I left, the property was in a far worse state than when I reported the problems, solely due to their failure to address them properly. Avoid renting through this agency at all costs. This agency’s appalling negligence and failure to uphold even the most basic standards of livability are utterly disgraceful. They will waste your time with empty words and leave you stuck in a hazardous, unlivable environment. Living here has been one of the worst experiences of my life. No tenant should have to endure this level of neglect and mismanagement.

    The Team at Greystone Lettings are fantastic as they go above and beyond, before during and after the rental period. Problems in our rented flat in the Jewellery Quarter inevitably arose, however, a quick email or pop in the office, on Warstone Lane, and it would be resolved in an appropriate timeframe. Due to the pandemic, we had a few issues with payment, on our end, the agency worked well with us and the landlord to reach negotiations of delayed a rental period. Their level of understanding and transparency was something that was greatly appreciated. Charlotte who we dealt with on a regular basis but also Sukhdev, were professional friendly and brilliant at communicating. Official inventories and paperwork were all carried out in a clear and concise manner, with the return of our deposit being swift.     Me and my friend just rented our first flat in Birmingham through Greystone. Sukhdev has been extremely helpful, and has responded to our communications clearly, honestly, and promptly. Even though the property is managed by the landlord, Sukhdev helped us by making sure the condition of the flat was great and everything ran smoothly.     We have rented out our property through Greystone since 2007 and have been so well looked after all these years by the friendly and enthusiastic team. We certainly wouldn’t be counted as a big client of theirs and yet we are treated with the same personal care and consideration you would expect if we had a big portfolio with them. Any issues such as repairs are sorted out quickly and effectively, all legal requirements are met automatically without us having to worry about it and the range of fees are clear and reasonable. Most importantly they find (and critically keep happy) good tenants meaning we have had tenants for a while and even when tenancies do come up for renewal we have very rarely had any voids as they are able to find someone else quickly. We would particularly like to single out Charlotte for all her help over the years. Nothing is too much trouble and she always gets back to us on any query.
