Minimum charge on card is £10 due to “internet issues” hardly makes sense. The difference in amount wouldn’t affect the internet connection. Clearly just want to avoid taxes by accepting majority cash payments.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went in this evening and my mom asked for 2 piece chicken and chips meal. Firstly I had one of the workers huff and roll their eyes at me because I was only spending £7.50 when the card machine is a minimum of £10 when i have ordered less and paid fine before. Then my mom asked if she could have a certain piece of chicken with her meal where a worker said that's an extra 80p we said don't worry we don't have any change, the worker then continued to place that chicken piece in the box with chips and added salt and vinegar. When she looked at us and said "do you have the money?" I said no we did just say we don't have any cash. Another worker then said "look" with a very rude tone and pointed at the 80p charge on the wall. I said "sorry we didn't see but are happy to have another piece like we said before" the worker then placed all the chips with salt and vinegar on back in the chip pan, the chicken with salt and vinegar back on the counter and gave us another piece which is fine because we had already stated this before she boxed up but my major concern is those chips had touched the chicken and will be served again to somebody else..what if they can't eat meat ect? The rudeness of the workers have completely put us off going there again and it was a very stressful situation.

This place has really gone downhill. It’s shocking how much the quality has dropped in just a few months. The chips are soggy, taste like old oil, and have no seasoning. The portion I received today was mostly chips, with barely any meat, just a few scraps, plus two slices of cucumber, a bit of lettuce, one tomato slice, and a tiny drop of chili sauce. The chip-to-meat-to-salad ratio used to be spot on, with generous, fresh portions. I decided to give them another chance after a disappointing visit weeks ago, but sadly, it’s only gotten worse. On top of that, the staff were loudly arguing while customers waited, which only made the experience worse. I used to order from John’s every week, now I won’t be wasting my money again. I’ve attached a photo comparison: my original review and today’s disappointing experience. The initial portions had about 800g, now they barely had 500g. Shame on you!

Normally, this is such a lovely chip shop! We go there regularly. However, recently, they have gone downhill! I ordered fish, and the fish was rock hard! It was burnt and the chips, which was obviously cooked in dirty oil, gave my whole family a stomach ache! I'm very disappointed. I really hope they can improve to how they were previously! Won't be in a rush to go back anytime soon.

Very nice food. Chips was cooked perfect and the pizza was the best I’ve had in a long time and I usually got to pizza hut. Will definitely be having my pizza here in the future. Thank you

Food is lovely just the portion ratio of meat and chips you get more chips then meat you might aswell buy chips and meat on its own.
