   I visit this store on a regular basis , (where they are normally very polite and helpful) Today I bought several items , went to the self service till paid for my shopping , I requested a receipt but the till did not produce one so I started to leave the store . As I was walking out of the shop the assistant shouted out loudly come back you need to pay for your shopping , I walked back to her embarrassed at her accusation and said I had done , no you haven’t was the reply in front of other customers , come back and put a card in the machine and pay , I protested further I have paid . I returned to the till point and said to her , I requested a receipt but it didn’t produce one , at which point she opened the front of the till checked the receipt roll on the till which had clearly jammed , printed a receipt off showed me the receipt and said is this what you bought . I confirmed it was , her reply was ok thanks for coming back into the shop - no apology for clearly insinuating i was shoplifting . I understand the staff must vigilant but her attitude was rude and off hand even when I had been vindicated and worst of all absolutely no apology ! Just to add I have made a complaint to the coop customer services too.

   I would to say a huge thank you to the lovely young female sales assistant (who lives/works on a farm) who helped me lift a very heavy basket to the counter. Then another female sales assistant appeared (blonde hair) and offered to carry my bags to the car and put them in for me. Both were such lovely, kind people and so friendly! They are absolute credit to the Ashby Road, Tamworth store!!!

   Nice convenient store with a good range. Parking is free and the bays are not too small. Would have given it 5 stars but on my last visit the person behind the counter didn't seem sure on how to wear their mask properly.
