“Great selection of foods, spices and fresh raw meat, sausages, alcoholic drinks, snacks, cheese, canned foods, etc. Highly recommend!”
“Ali was really friendly and made sure everything went right with our meal , world class service and amazing food too will definitely be back xx we most definitely polished our plates !!”
“Excellent pub about 12 minutes walk from Tamworth Railway Station. Seven cask beers on handpump when I visited including two stouts. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered. The lovely C16/part Tudor building is home to Tamworth Brewing Company and its tap. The cosy upstairs rooms have Tudor features and the historic courtyard beer terrace to the rear offers striking views of Tamworth Castle. The Tamworth Tap won the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) National Pub of the Year in both 2022 and 2023!”
“The staff are always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and most importantly, efficient. I know if I'm going to Screwfix Tamworth that I'll be served quickly and if not, it's because they're genuinely busy, not making themselves look busy. All in all, a good branch.”
“Great if you like an old style pub. It's for anyone that likes to check out a great selection of craft ales. Food consisted of a selection of cobs. We had amply filled cheese and onion. Very tasty. Very friendly and obliging staff.”
“Second time eating here in the past month and both times the food has been amazing. Staff are polite and helpful and the venue has been tastefully refurbished. Our new favourite place to eat. Tha you all.”
“A good stock of Romanian products. friendly staff.”
“Great service received in store today from Charlotte and Lucy. Thank you!”
“Lovely little store with a surprising amount of choice. Staff are very friendly too”
“Great place close to town centre. Modern rooms and superb breakfast. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend eating here as well. The menu and food is fantastic.”
“One of my new favourite places to go. Ordered from slim chickens twice now and cannot fault it. One thing I would say is that the portions of fries are generous. My first time ordering I paid for extra fries & received the same amount as my friend who didn’t. The portion was more than enough though so I wouldn’t spend the extra £3 again personally. Love the toast too, perfect!”
“We use Food For thought for our Business Lunches.... They offer a tasty mix of Veg and Meat sandwiches incl Chicken & Stuffing, Beef, Egg salad and cheese, hot and cold sides such as Prawn Tempura, Scottish Eggs and Jalepeno Dippers, along with Fruit and Juice. Always untime, always tasty, very recommended! :)”
“The staff were very friendly and the facilities looked very nice. I was fortunate enough to be open mic night and got to enjoy some live music too.”
“A pretty good Indian takeaway on the back of The Yard pub. You can order for pick up or delivery, or for a special bonus you can order for delivery into the pub itself where they will bring the food on nice plates and with cutlery. Quick service and the food is amongst the best in the area.”
“My family made a very picky and large order on a Sunday evening including vegan, vegetarian and meat curries. Not only was the whole order correct but it is by far the best Indian takeout in the area. The food was absolutely delicious and it was topped off by wonderful service. When ready, all the food was brought to my car for me and placed securely for me to get it home. Couldn’t recommend enough!”
“Always love it here. Great food. Soft drink and alcohol. Recliner seats. Plus Costa Coffee.”
“Food was delicious, good value for money. Delivery was very quick. My new favorite Chinese”
“Brilliant pub in the heart of Tamworth town. Great selection of gins, beers and ales. Excellent outdoor space. Nice clean toilets”
“Stayed for 3 nights, the hotel was really nice. The room was like every other Premier Inn, it was really clean, well enough equipped to make it comfortable and was generally really peaceful on a night. The staff were great and checking in and out was hassle free. I will defo stay here again next time I’m working in the area.”
“Great place to ship. Friendly and helpful staff”
“I don't care very much for the co-op but the members of staff here are the best bunch. I always go in the shop as its my local and i am greeted and looked after. Multiple times I've been in here and the staff have gone above and beyond for me! Tonight a lady behind the counter fetched me something and brought it to the door as I didn't want to leave my dog outside barking as it was getting late. Just one of the many things that these people do to make spending money here more pleasant.”
“I found the staff Jamie and Sam so brilliant and very grateful for their help today!”
“Visited over the weekend and after reading older reviews i was not expecting much however I was pleasantly surprised, nice cosey clean country pub. Staff was extremely friendly and made sure out visit was enjoyable. Food was cooked to perfection. I was informed that the pub has been taken over by new managers and after speaking to the locals it seems they are doing a great job getting the pub back to how it should be. Thank you for a great evening. Will definitely be back again soon”
“Just brilliant! Arrived at 20:15 to a packed restaurant, every table taken. We were greeted by Ella and advised there would be a 15/20 min wait for a table and then a further 20/25 min wait for food but they could get an updated eta on food once seated. After a short wait we were seated and we ordered on the app. Our food arrived in 6 minutes, eating at 20:45. Every vacant table was cleared and cleaned instantly. All staff were lovely, all working extremely well together under the care of Ella. For a completely full restaurant they were running smooth as a whistle. Thank you.”
“We booked to stay here the night before an early flight from Birmingham airport. Rooms were outstanding and only a 20 minute drive from the airport. Staff were fantastic”
“My local shop, always Friendly staff, plenty of choice. Great opening times too for when I forget things late in the day!”
“Ah, the local "Spa." A temple of convenience, a haven of… well, a haven of whatever you've just run out of. I must say, the sheer audaciousness of its offerings is something to behold. You enter, and the air is thick with the sweet, synthetic scent of a hundred different fruit-flavoured vapes, a fragrance that whispers of a life lived on the edge of a nicotine patch. It's a scent that says, "I'm not here for a quiet browse; I'm here for a purpose, and that purpose is probably a packet of crisps and a disposable e-cigarette." The alcohol selection is a masterclass in economy. Forget your single malts with their complex notes and aged pedigree. Here, we have the "Whisky-style spirit drink," a bottle of liquid ambition with a label so vague it could be legally considered a haiku. The vodka, a clear and present danger to your liver, is not so much a spirit as it is a challenge. It's the kind of liquor that makes you question your life choices before you even open the bottle. But it’s the food, oh, the food, that truly elevates the experience. The sandwiches, hermetically sealed and displaying a sell-by date that feels less like an expiration and more like a dare, are a testament to human ingenuity. They are the culinary equivalent of a single-use plastic bag: functional, cheap, and filled with a mysterious sense of existential dread. For those who crave the thrill of the unpredictable and the taste of the suspiciously affordable, the Spa is a must-visit. It's a place where you can buy a single banana, a lottery ticket, and a litre of "White Rum-flavour Beverage" all in one transaction. It's not a convenience store; it’s a lifestyle, and a beautifully, unapologetically cheap one at that.”
“Fabulous place run by fabulous people. Thank you Jo and Simon and all who work here”
“A lovely restaurant, the staff were friendly and helpful, loved the atmosphere, the singing along to the radio and the old songs gave it full ambience. The restaurant felt very welcoming, and relaxing, and the food was to die for! Having travelled afar over the years, we all said that this was the best for food that we’ve eaten, the mega breakfast was mega, and my god it was a joy to eat it, the paninis were also delicious, and this establishment is certainly one we will visit again.”
