“Great pub fab music very welcoming. Also if you don't have any issues with people and their sexuality and if they wear Drag. Then this is the place for you, definitely bringing my daughter here to celebrate her 18th ❤️ Any questions about food or wheelchair access or kid or pet friendly please feel free to ring up and ask as I was too drunk to notice and I didn't eat here well not yet that will be another review for another day. ❤️”
“Visited the pub yesterday after we visited the area for some local walks. Had a good pint to finish off our afternoon. Beautiful beer garden on a summer's day. Welcoming and friendly staff.”
“Ohhh wow! This place was delicious, full of atmosphere, great service and the food, was fantastic. Me and my partner came for my birthday brunch, had a black forest hot chocolate and a gingerbread latte off the specials, aswell as biscoff french toast and berry french toast, on which both I highly recommend. They were made swiftly, came out quick and tasted immaculate! Highly recommend.”

“The Former John Lewis Tamworth: A Retail Elysium Six Stars (A Monument to Taste and Partnership) Before the era of rapid fulfillment and joyless, beige boxes, there stood a retail institution in Tamworth that transcended mere shopping: the Former John Lewis Store. Now, in its regrettably repurposed state (whatever that may be), it remains a ghost of true consumer nobility—a building that whispers tales of thread counts, tasteful kitchenware, and the sacred principles of staff partnership. The Architecture of Aspiration The exterior, often a masterful combination of dependable cladding and generous fenestration, did not scream "SALE!" It offered a silent, knowing nod of quality. This structure was designed to hold not just stock, but dreams—dreams of owning a kettle that cost slightly more than you initially budgeted, or a pillow that would dramatically improve your quality of life (and yet, somehow, it always did). The very air around the building smelled subtly of quality canvas and long-term financial planning. The Sacred Customer Journey Inside, the experience was a meditative process. You didn't just buy a shirt; you invested in a relationship with a garment guaranteed to last longer than your average car lease. The layout was a complex, multi-tiered labyrinth of muted colours and solid wood, designed to gently guide you toward a purchase you truly deserved. The staff—or Partners, as they were known—were not employees, but highly trained emotional support specialists who could discuss the pros and cons of Egyptian cotton versus Pima with theological certainty. And the escalators! They moved at the exact, measured speed required for deep contemplation of your purchasing choices, offering a glorious, panoramic view of the lighting department—a shimmering, aspirational valley of brushed chrome. A Legacy Repurposed Today, as this magnificent structure stands, sadly repurposed, we must remember its heritage. It is no longer just a building; it is a museum of understated luxury. Its foundations hold the memory of countless tasteful purchases, and its ceiling tiles still echo the faint, hopeful sound of a loyalty card being swiped. It stands as a profound reminder that retail, at its peak, was not transactional; it was transformational. We salute this former temple of taste. May its new life, whatever mundane purpose it now serves, be forever blessed by the ghost of high-quality porcelain and the spirit of a generous returns policy.”
“First time at this branch but very enjoyable. Food was delicious, service was excellent - friendly and not long wait times. We have Gold Level rewards on the app which is brilliant as it means two out of three kids end with most of their meal free.”
“Sign, Mr.TYR field, your food is so great and your service and your staff are very friendly. That is what I enjoy about like.Keep up the good work”
“Super tasty food. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Excellent all round. Would certainly go again.”
“Excellent evening after visiting a nearby attraction and staying in Tamworth. Well presented business, clean and tidy. Muhammed served us for the duration and was excellent from start to finish including going the extra mile for our young children. Food was excellent and served in a timely manner. Would recommend and visit again if we come to Tamworth.”
“The best curry I've ever had. And we have a lot of India take aways I had chicken tikka Balt tikka fried rice. I highly recommend serving is really good. Turn up on time. I hope you all enjoy I will be going no where else for my Indian takeaway.”
“Amazing food. The lamb Karahi was perfectly spiced and the service is really friendly. Good portions and a good range of food. 100% recommend.”

“Had a fantastic meal at the Tame otter on Wednesday. The food was delicious & the service as good. A lovely lady named Ros was so attentive & friendly as our waitress . We look forward to coming back soon.”
“Outstanding service, we are regulars multiple times a week. The food incredible, the staff are lovely and helpful and the drinks are always great! Great atmosphere and always hosting events 10/10”
“Lovely shop, plenty of deals to be had. Lots of sweets, biscuits, crisps (chips) all sorts at great prices”
“We did Tamworth Castle Grounds parkrun on Saturday. This lovely little cafe is just by the start/finish which had a roaring open fire burning inside. Unfortunately, it is quite small so we had to sit outside to enjoy our breakfast as not enough seating for our sizable group (but we did keep popping into to stand by the fire and warm out hands and smell the wood smoke!) Great value breakfast, and loved that you could have mushrooms on your bacaon or sausage sandwich, often not an option. And the small Full English included black pudding and coffe at just £6 Definitely recommended! (of course we also made a film of our day, you can watch that here: https://youtu.be/QMBA4nHzhkU )”
“A great local shop with nearly all your food requirements.”
“Just had a chicken bhuna with pilau rice and keema naan. All was very tasty. The chicken was juicy and fresh.”
“Came here for a pool match (pub league) everyone was really friendly, the food served by the pub was very nice and service was quick. Not too expensive either”
“Absolutely fantastic food. Had a burger, some pasta, and a pizza and all tasted incredible. I ordered in the shop and the lady that served me was fantastic, the food was cooked fresh and I didn't have to wait long either. Well worth a visit.”
“In the franchise Mrs Kyndley is just a woman who lives next to Thomas' branchline, She dosen't own a tea room, however I guess she has a refreshment stall in the Great Race (a film that came out a while after)”
“We had an iced latte and a kid’s milkshake. Drinks were refreshing with great quantities per serving and service was prompt. Only discrepancy is that Google maps closing time was 6pm, however, I found out the hard way that the shop actually closes at 5pm. Will definitely come back. ☺️”
“We had a fantastic dining experience at Gemini in Tamworth. The food was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the service stood out as genuinely warm and attentive. A special mention to the lady and gentleman at the bar, their friendly and welcoming attitude made us feel very welcome. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend Gemini to anyone looking for great food and excellent service.”
“What an improvement and cleaner too, the only change I can see is a new possible manager called Lewis. To whom seems to have all the staff doing jobs that I have never seen them attempt to do before, as well as himself sweeping the floors and behind counters, he was none stop. What a refreshing change, and keep up the good work Lewis as changes are visible even the small ones. WELL DONE”
“Namco Funscape Tamworth: A Sensory Odyssey Six out of Five Stars (Must be Experienced) Forget your sensible, minimalist leisure activities. If you are looking for tranquility, low-key lighting, or subtle décor, please turn your sensible saloon car around right now. Namco Funscape Tamworth is not here for subtlety; it is here for maximalist, unadulterated, glorious FUN. It’s less a venue, and more a vibrant, electric explosion of pure entertainment energy. From the moment you step onto the carpet—a geometric marvel that perfectly camouflages three decades of soft drink spills and ambition—you are enveloped in a sensory blitzkrieg. The air is thick with the scent of popcorn, industrial-strength floor cleaner, and a hint of ozone from the overworked prize claw machines. The soundscape is a triumphant symphony of 8-bit chip tunes, the crash of falling pins, and the collective, desperate whirring of air hockey tables. This is not noise, my friends; this is authentic atmosphere. The Sanctity of the Arcade The arcade section is a museum of coin-operated history, yet somehow every cabinet is still demanding your attention, flashing with a reckless disregard for epilepsy warnings. You will spend hours, and approximately the cost of a small, pre-owned vehicle, pursuing the pointless, glorious accumulation of paper tickets. This is a pilgrimage, a quest for the ultimate reward: a plastic spider ring, a sticky hand, or a pencil topper that costs roughly 5,000 times its retail value in sunk credit. We salute this irrational economic system. It is perfection. The Lanes of Legend The bowling area is immaculate, in the most Tamworth way possible. The hired shoes—truly the peak of mid-20th-century athletic footwear—are practically a fashion statement, hinting at the athletic prowess you're about to unleash. The lanes themselves are fast, true, and possibly possess a slight, undetectable tilt designed purely to challenge the physics of your spin. A perfect strike here feels less like a sport and more like winning a highly personalized battle against gravity and fluorescent lighting. Necessary Fuel The food is exactly what you want: unapologetic, perfectly greasy, and delivered with the speed of a well-oiled machine. It’s fuel for the next round of air hockey, designed to maximize your sugar rush and maintain peak concentration for the highly complex task of guiding a plastic ball through a clown’s mouth. It is the gastronomic equivalent of the entire venue: loud, fun, and utterly essential. Go to Namco Funscape. Embrace the glorious chaos. Allow the neon lights to heal your soul. If you leave without a massive novelty slushie and at least one sticky wristband, you haven't lived.”
“I only leave reviews when things make me happy or go above and beyond expectation. I visit this Sainsbury’s twice sometimes 3 times a week. It’s close to home and has super fast chargers for the car which is great. However want to say a special appreciation to a member of staff called Stephen, he always says hello, he’s always busy and rushing to help people and clear things away or tidy up displays and stock. If I ever see him in the evening he always tanks me and wishes me a good night. I don’t know anything about him other than his name and he works at Sainsbury’s Tamworth. But thank you Stephen for your efforts, kind words and just making me boring trips to the shop a bit more tolerable”
“The fuel here is good quality much perfer Sainsbury's fuel to any other fuel stations, only thing I'd say is number 1 and 2 pump doesn't seem to let me fill my tank to the top as keeps clicking very early, all the other pumps are excellent and I'm still giving 5 stars because the fuel is good, shop is good and the staff are always helpful and friendly”
“Staff are all fantastic in this store, not sure who wrote that poor review…honestly you couldn’t fault them..ther always so busy, but so friendly helpful and polite!”
“Booked this place on a whim and wasnt even planning on eating but the smell was too nice to resist. Ordered a mixed grill and I have to day it's one of the best I've ever had. Staff were super friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. I cant wait to go again.”
