Loving the festive menu, had a lovely lunch on Sunday the pub was unusually quiet and it was cosy. Had the baked Camembert with roasties and pigs in blankets, fab

First time here, I really do not know why I haven't been before! What a wonder pub. Fantastic service, I was given samples of ales to try and the barmaid really went out of her way to give advice and ensure my tastes were met. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a sophisticated and trendy crowd. Will definitely go back again! Highly recommend. Can't comment on food (if available) but the beer was amazing!

Returned track to my home town after many years away. I was recommended this place by a couple of people. I was not disappointed ! This place is a beacon in the town centre. Excellent beer , bar staff and the owner were the perfect examples of a well run pub. Long may they continue Ps the prices are very reasonable too

Excellent pub about 12 minutes walk from Tamworth Railway Station. Seven cask beers on handpump when I visited including two stouts. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered. The lovely C16/part Tudor building is home to Tamworth Brewing Company and its tap. The cosy upstairs rooms have Tudor features and the historic courtyard beer terrace to the rear offers striking views of Tamworth Castle. The Tamworth Tap won the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) National Pub of the Year in both 2022 and 2023!

Fantastic place to while away some time. The beer selection on cask, keg, in the fridge is excellent and ever changing, with expert bar staff who can help you find exactly what you're looking for if it all seems a bit overwhelming. The bar snack selection is also excellent, including superb scotch eggs, pork pies, cobs, and sausage rolls along with some choice Crisps, nuts, snacking cheese! Etc The decor and atmosphere instantly make you feel like you've stepped into the right place, a cosy, welcoming, leave your worries at the door kinda place, and all of the staff we encountered reinforced that impression with a warm welcome, great service and great beer knowledge. Very justifiably winner of the national CAMRA pub of the year, twice. Literally one of the very best establishments in the country.

A cracking pub, an array of excellent beers and the pub itself split over three floors is full of charm and character. We had a great time having a little room to ourselves at the top. The landlord was friendly and we would definitely come back.

Probably the best pub in the town. Good selection of ales and cider with no trouble to try before you buy. I had a White Rat. Plenty of seating, although quite limited inside. The back has ample seating with a view of the castle and lovely flowers. What would add a little more would be vintage signs like: Ovaltine, Castrol GTX and others, for example Ind Coope. If you have a trip planned to the town pop in, you won't be disappointed

Nice cosy place. I enjoyed the IPA (Citra) but then tried the Twisted Lime Cider which tasted like someone had made a pint of lime cordial but switched the water and lime ratio round the wrong way. It was luminous green ! Won't be having that again but will be back to try others.

Absolutely superb place, stopping in Tamworth for a local event, but passed this place earlier, just had to call in , only had an hour or so but wished stopped longer, well gone on earlier as we were one the last to leave, incredibly friendly, brilliant staff, fantastic range of ales and ciders, I just can't rate it highly enough. Log burner was blazing, the lovely mumble if conversation and background music at a good level. One of the best Taps I have been in.
